check the time of this post ive been playing since midnight and still not managed to make over 100,000 cr yet, but it was a ride and a half. but boy is landing anywhere other than on planets hard :(

Up from midnight to 6am? Dedication! I have work today but I should be setting out into the great unknown this evening, can't wait! :D

I will however be spending most of today thinking up a name for my first ship, if anyone has any words of inspiration that would be awesome :p

I hope no one witnessed any of my landings last night :)

I was awful. I couldn't work out how lateral thrusters were mapped. Tried both presets.

I think I was lucky. Literally the first courier mission I did gave me 97000 credits just to deliver 2 units of tea o_0

Cool.

Well if the answer I saw in another thread about thruster binding is correct I may actually be able to fly and land tonight. All I really got done last night was the intro mission you get on comms.

The Hotas on the other hand is a dream. Still got to get used to some of the context buttons but other than that it's great.

everyone says landing on planets is hard, so far 100% success rate at planetary landings, 50% success at outposts, spinning stations 0% success at the moment. but i have been busy got B rated FSD, Gimbaled burst lasers and kill warrant scanner

Don't want to toot my own horn but I havent screwed up any landings anywhere, I have over shot with supercruise a few times but have that down now. It did help I played the training missions a few times before heading out into the black.

well i have my first anaconda kill, i am mostly harmless and i am still in my lucky golden charm. and i have finally sussed out landing, still considering ship number 2, but i am making slow progress and i am having the time of my life

I ran a Low Res in the adder to see how it handled and it wasnt bad but now I have the Viper it will be so much more fun .

Am I the only one still in my goldwinder? Though last night I built up earnings of about 800k so will probably be buying a shiny new cobra soon.

Maybe. I only flew it for about an hour before I bought the adder. That lasted for next 5 to 6 hours and made me enough to buy the Viper. Now it's time to alternate between bounty hunting and missioning for a few days until I can part ex the Adder for the Cobra.

So far only managed 1 mission.I have found that i am pretty good at flying and landing,just having a few probs with the galaxy and systems maps.
