Mission Requirement: Python

Drank too much last night and woke up to this:

Fights OK. Just need to upgrade the dirty drives and gain access to pacifiers:

Anyone else noting the absurd number of missions that, after a bit of math, require a python? Soooo many haulage missions have 'Cargo required: 180T' and 'Ship Too Large'. Wouldn't it save typing to just write 'Python'? Or just shave a meter off the height of a type-7 so it can go back to being medium. Just food for thought. Like pudding, but less tasty.

Yes it's something bothering me too heavily. Even the Python would have to be a complete trade build since you would need most proper slots for cargo racks.
I'm still in the hope, that we will get in the Future 2-3 ships more being a real comparison to the Pxthon. Hell....even if it would be exactly the same numbers and just look differently i would be happy, as long as it isn't another Lakon cockpit :D (and now we get Type-10 :|)

So yes! Let us ask for more Python-class ships over and over again :D

If you haven't got a Python yet then you should definitely get one. Be warned though, it's one of those ships that is so good at just about everything that you'll have a hard time leaving it.

For exact that reason, i bought 4 of the Python! Multirole, Trade, Mining, Combat......and maybe a 5th for exploration too in the Future [haha]

I complained about the same thing a few weeks back, stating that mission content for big ships (cutters and type 9's) were missing from the game. Even stacking missions doesn't always fill the hold, or pay that well.

I've never understood why I have to take the load all in 1 trip. I've usually got 24 hours to complete the cargo delivery. Why can't I do it in my AspX in 2 or 3 trips (as long as I deliver all the cargo in the required timeframe)?

I agree. I assume it wasn't done because FDev is against storing cargo at ports.

The Python's a great ship because of it's versatility. I've done just about everything in mine. If Elite Dangerous had a Millenium Falcon, it'd be a Python.

Yes, especially if they are supposed to take place in the real world.
I always get at action movies that are meant to be realistic, however fail to hire someone versed in actual tactical firearm combat to teach the actors how to carry their weapons, not to signal to your teammates with your firing hand, etc. To see a movie that is a bit over the top, but insanely accurate in the realm of guncraft, John Wick is amazing.

But on realism, no space economy would possibly last with a monstrous amount of wealth of commerce relegated to a single ship... Lakon would have been tripping over itself finding a space maximizing medium pad cargo vessel to compete for haulage contracts from mining outposts. But I'm sure we shall get there eventually.

This. Or 50 trips in an sidey ...

It could also lead to missions like deliver 10k of X in 24hrs (for some appropriately silly amount of money.)
