I had quite some issues with mysterious money loss and guest behavior that does not seem normal, so I searched for similar problems from others and found this:
Sadly this did not fix it for me. But after I looked into all of this and eliminated these possibilitys It became clear, that there might be something wrong with the guest behavior.
My zoo is in a Tropical Biome, which means it is really hot. I already covered paths and places with roofs and used coolers so get the temperature down, still the people demand more drink shops than you can build. I have to place like 3 of them every corner and they still complain about beeing thirsty and all the drink shops beeing too full. Resulting in leaving and wanting refunds.
I know it should be a challenge to fit the needs of all the guests, but I dont think it is intended that for every squaremeter path you extend your zoo you have to build like thousands of shops.
Also there are guests issuing only positive things but having almost zero happiness. (see screenshot)
I started with about 100k when I realised an unnormal money drop issue (came up after the last patch). So I spent hours in fullfilling guest needs and increasing overall happiness and welfare of guests animals and staffs. And despite increasing everything to at least a 4 star rating, I keep loosing about 10 to 20k every year Going for more years than the screenshot displays. And guests still complain about the shops. The loss even got bigger while the guests got happier.
Losing more and more money while doing everything to increase profit and safe money is really a bummer, totally kills every joy over new cool breeding results or similar.
There has to be a reason, because I dont think I did so bad in management that i suddenly made 10-20k loss per year instead of 5-10k profit. To quote Eminem "Somethings wrong, I can feel it"
I hope there is some issue behind it that can be discovered and fixed. But if anyone else has useful input or tips regarding these issues, i would appreciate it

So it seems like for most of the save files we were sent, there are overlapping educational speakers; this means that guests who walk into this overlapped area have a rapid drop in happiness - causing them to leave and want their money back.
Please check the Education heatmap, and if there's anything red in there: fix it!
Also, if you're running a bad zoo in general, that could cause a lot of unhappy guests too: not enough shops, too much litter, and expensive tickets; also, not having enough shops or having them all in one area only, and staff facilities being far away. Be sure to optimise your zoos in terms of placement: it's important!
We'll continue to look into other possibilities in the meantime
