Money plummets

I was wondering if anyone can help. I’ve been playing franchise mode this week to breed elephants for the challenge. I started a new zoo with animals traded in, money was rolling in fast and then suddenly my money plummets to over £100,000 and I can’t seem to reign it back.
I have bred lots of elephants so there’s A handful of babies. The biggest expense was animal food. I got rid of some animals but it was still expensive. They were also on grade 1 food.
Can anyone help me get back from this please or do I just close it down?

Ye the money plummets each time they are fed. I coudn't handle it in my normal franchise zoo so i created a new zoo just for the elephant challenge. I'm currently at minus 11mill in income :p
