multi-crew, avatar creation and ship-launched fighters.

How about scouting and espionage missions where you mustn´t be spotted ? bombing runs like in the old game ? attack certain parts of capitals ships during larger fleet engagements ? or scooping up a certain artifact or whatever which is drifting closely to the accretion disk of a black hole, for a huge sum of money but filled with danger (if thats even realistic) ? tailing a target trying to dig up whether he has dirt on his stick ?

Yes, I've been calling for improvement to silent running/cold running for some time, along with stealth related gameplay. ie:-
- Bring in CQCs line of sight scanner for asteroid fields.
- Have missions to observe/scan ships/asteroid bases in asteroid fields without being seen/scanned.
- Missions to get into a restricted area to take out a target without being seen/scanned.

^ And if we have ship to ship docking (see sig) these could be to get to other ships to get/drop off cargo/passengers without being seen/scanned.



Be nice to try and stealth into a Thargoid fleet in an asteroid field to get valuable data no?

Hmmm... OK... If one of your friends gets their jollies from being in charge of opening the cargo bay hatch, who am I to question that :)

Personally I think we need to see what FD introduce as respects multi-crew before we can say we'll enjoy it.

Have we had indications we can have more than one figher ship onboard?

So I wonder if you can launch two AI fighters, and you remain in the Cutter? And what would they do? Their own thang? Or (as I previoulsly asked) could you tell them attack/defend my target... Going to be interesting...
 
Yeah like any AI wingman in flight simulation games! you fight in your big conda, cutter or vette and the other wingman can target the enemy shields, power plant, weapons, etc! I think will be terrific to have a type 9 cargo with two wingman!
 
I am looking forward to ship launched fighers and the character creator.

As for multicrew for those that are competent at the game is it not more fun just to wing up in your own ships.
 
Seeing the history of gameplay added to this game since release (almost 0 new gameplay), I think Star Citizen will do a much better job in multicrew gameplay, just reading as how mining and repairing will work is amazing.

The problem with SC, is that is only a lot of videos! the functionality, controllers, etc are still in very early stages. Maybe the official release in 2040 will be a hit (like their videos) or not!
 
Still can't fathom out how it will be made interesting for the additional CMDRs...


Until it's live and I can see how it works I don't know, hence I said it "may" get some use. in simple terms though I have several big ships and only one of my buddies is anywhere close to owning one, the rest may just enjoy being the shark rather than the fish for a while.
 
I`m not interested in multicrew as it has been hinted, ship launched fighters are ok but i can think of at least dozen more important things

Avatar creation is very important to me because this requires them to create a procedural character creation system which can then be used to populate stations to make them look more like the concept art and trailers

Me thinks Ship-launched Fighters might be something for me (I'll definitely check it out).

Multi-Crew I'm rather sceptical about.
If Crew-Instancing works as reliable as Wings, I wouldn't welcome the prospect of "losing" my Weapons guy randomly in the heat of the battle or get comments like "I can't see the Target you're locked on!".
Unsure how Frontier will address that (?)

Avatar creation I currently see as a mere gimmick, it probably serves to finally occupy the seats of MultiCrew Ships.

I don't think it's so much about how interested people are in these things, i'm sure they are.
But the inevitable hype train will roll again, and then FD implements it......oh dear.

The other thing with multi-crew is... Do you think you'd have to "pick up" other CMDRs from a station? ie: Do you have all be at the same station? Or would all CMDRs simply have to be at any station? Or can you simply invite them and they appear in your ship?

The latter obviously sounds somewhat gamey, but is obviously the most friendly...

Multi-crew - not really interested. I mainly fly solo anyway.
Ship launched fighters - hmm... Ok. Used to do that in X2. But why get out of my perfectly good vette or Cutter? Unless there is some new gameplay that requires these small ships.
CMDR creator - Ok. But who is going to see my CMDR if I don't play multi-crew?

My concern is that would multi-crew unbalance the gameplay against people who don't bother with or don't want to play multi-crew.
 
Ahh multicrew... I shall fill my ship with buxom young lassies in... who am I kidding, I'll end up with a shaved Wookie and a Gnome! ;)

Why do we feel the need to keep asking if people are "interested in upcoming content"? Obviously people are interested.

Obviously you can't picture other perspectives. None of the above interest me...
 
I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure I will try launching fighters couple of times and then forget about it. Not really interested in multi-crew, because I don't have friends to play with. It would be cool if we'll be able to use NPCs tho... Avatars is interesting. More customization!
 
Looking forward to ship-based fighters the most. I'm assuming that NPCs could launch them as well, that could be interesting.
 
Well for a start if you have friends it's a great addition, next to planetary landing, multi crew has been the one thing I've been waiting for. Building a second VR rig so my mates can fly with me, heck even my girlfriend has been going on for a year about being able to cruise around with me inside the ship in Virtual reality. It's going to be frikin epic having my friends on board these ships with me & flying fighters. AI controlled fighters are just a bonus.

Yeah, I 100% agree with that, not everyone want to pilot a ship, I got some mates who are only into FPS stuff (my Arma3 mates) and they only want to be joining the game when they can walk around.
