My Block list is longer than yours.

so in a nutshell: 'I've lost to someone in a certain aspect of the game, so I'm going to block him and destroy in another, when they are no longer able to threaten me"
it's brilliant!

/also for those who have troubles in detecting sarcasm, all my posts here are.

Or,

I can't compete with them in one way so I switched tactics and compete in another.

Hitting an enemy where they are strong is bad tactics. You attack where the other person is weak.

If the pvp players didn't want to face BGS pvp they shouldn't have a BGS element. Same as people who don't want to get jumped while flying shouldn't fly in open.

No need for either side to pretend they have some sort of internet spaceship moral highground.

That's the funny part. Attacking them where they're weak is smart. It's sound tactics. That's not the issue at hand.

Being angry enough to drop what you're doing and waste your time attack them at all is the real goal. It's the internet troll's classic "you care about this whole thing more than I do, ha ha ha". It's funny if someone gets mad enough to trash your sandcastle which you can trivially rebuild when they move on, if you can even be bothered.

It's a big target they can put up there and laugh as people dash themselves against it in a fit of rage, because watching their influence plummet after a gank is like a juicy angry reddit post to them. Hell, the biggest tactical mistake they made IMO was that most of them made their factions anarchies - not because of the usual stuff about anarchies being BGS underdogs or anything, but because being an anarchy means they can't point and laugh at the bounty board.

It's been my experience that these sorts of people will point and laugh no matter what response they get. Anytning or nothing.

So the win condition is to ignore them and do whatever you want. If trashing their sandcastle gives you joy. That's independent of them and their reaction. If flying away laughing to yourself about how small minded some people are is what works, that's the win.

This is why I'm very selective about whose opinions I give worth to. Opinions are like backsides, everyone has one, and many of them stink.

One thing that is interesting, my main and Bubble alt haven't encountered a hostile Cmdr away from a CG system.
My exploration alt was interdicted twice shortly before leaving the Bubble.
