My Concept Screens for a Management UI Overhaul

Huh, now that I think about it they did indeed. A bit of conflicting information but wouldn't be the first time. [tongue] I also don't expect them to really change the UI anyway apart from some new additions but I can still hope right?? [tongue][big grin][sad][sad]

yeah exactly

it's not like we are asking for a redo of the entire user interface but you know, being able to resize it and have smaller windows in general you can drag (and open multiple windows at once) would not change the UI in any way but it would make everything so much easier and pleasing

I agree [up] Currently, it is possible to drag and resize the one bottom window for rides, blueprints, scenery, etc. but I dont understand why none of the other windows cant be resized. I wish the UI was better in many ways, but resizing all the windows should be top priority

Completely with you :) just have taken that basically what we have seen is what we are getting bar bug fixes certainly for the UI at this time. I will keep pushing for this UI update and management aspects till Frontier stop supporting the game though :)

Thanks for bring that back to my mind. Like the concept, but with all the buttons on the side it looks a litte like a RCT3 clone.

PC does utilize a very similar engine to rct3 (a rebuilt version of cobra) which was used in several frontier games. there really is no reason to change a good interface, and the one in PC is very cluttered

I really miss ability to have more than one window and to move around. And not that the window will shut down when you have to click something important happening while you are trying to align something...

I'm afraid this really isn't true. Especially for UI. I'm not going to comment on anything else in this thread, but as a programmer at Frontier I can tell you that the most commonality between RCT3 and Planet Coaster in terms of engine code is the name "Cobra"... [big grin]

Cheers

I like the shortcut toolbar in the later screen shots. Currently it does take too much time to get to the staff page especially when something breaks down and you're trying to find the mechanic.

Management needs an upgrade and the interface it a big part of that. I hope we get some changes soon.
