PvP My First PvP Kill!

It's been a long road, with much grinding and engineering and gnashing of teeth, but it finally paid off today, after a fashion. My PvE Anaconda got blown up twice today as I tried to dock at George Lucas station (first by a suicide-eagle, second by a group of FDL jocks), so I took out my heavily engineered PvP Federal Gunship and patrolled supercruise looking for some payback. (Hat tip to Commander Indigo Wyrd for his excellent advice on an FGS build!).

You can see me making really good use of FA-off after much practice and watching of videos, and I think I managed some really good pip-management. The hours of practice with fixed hard points were also paying off, methinks.

Unfortunately the video ends with another Commander (much fiercer) who managed to blow my ship up, but I'm just chuffed I managed to fight back and dish out some pain.

A big thank you to the community and lessons I've learned from other Commanders. I hope this is the start of many more small victories...

Once you've tasted the blood of a CMDR you're thrust can only be quenched by more. Poping NPCs was not fun after 3 hours of bounty hunting in this game.

Nice job! the last fight where you where killed is not a bad show for a player new to PVP, you did well.

A quick tip: Make sure you have PIPs where you NEED them, you had PIPs in ENG for a while with the cap full, these could of been moved to SYS or WEP.

Exploiting? Surely its working as intended.. You know like the block button?

If it was an exploit you would have expected FDEV to have stepped in immediately... You know like the engineering exploit?

Surely you mean traffic control from all the griefers who speed around.

Public servants are always so under appreciated.

How many station cheats have been fixed so far ?, and would FDEV have been able to use that time and effort to better effect adding things players want rather than patching out moves.

It's why we can't have nice things.

Like Combat Logging you mean? Combat Logging is working as intended by your logic.

Kill your speed, not your credit balance.

Spending their time with all this emergent content roit?? Are Thargoid's even still a thing? Wait one, let me go check youtube for an update.

The 15 second combat log is fully supported by FDEV

The cable pull ...... Clearly the FDEV team are far too busy dropping exciting content into the game. Like with exploring, jump, honk, scan, re-evaluate life. As career paths go, that's definitely one of the most content filled!

Or just block them all and land at whatever speed you like.
