This will generally indicate that the save file has become corrupt and as much as I wish there was something we could offer, we've not had any luck getting these to run ourselves
If you could include any information as to what you were last doing before the save failed to load, including any crashes or disconnections you experienced, that would be a huge help!
Been plenty of other games that have had corrupted save file issues over the years. I've been gaming for a very, very long time and I've seen it crop up with various games over the years.Damn that sucks! It's a constant fear of mine too, that my zoo will stop working
I don't get it though, how does so many zoo's get corrupt? What is even causing it, never heard of this problem in other games :O

Fortunately it's only actually happened to me once, with one game. That experience led to me being very compulsive about making save backups...all the time. For Planet Zoo I just use Game Backup Manager and let it make a backup every time I exit the game, but for some games I am so compulsive that I run a batch file that makes backups every hour while I'm playing.
Do you use some special program to save them? I'm getting really paranoid about loosing my zoo too, since I've seen it happen to lots of people here. I just save the game every 10 min or so and create a new save file in the game every other days. Can I save the files in a different way to make it even safer?
Not sure it is 'growing' it is something which happens on patches. These must be something that was in certain zoos which the new patch really doesnt like. That doesnt excuse the issue though, for me this should be the biggest thing they should be trying to fix. The sad news is, even if they fix it for future patches, does not mean it will fix historic issue.still seeing new posts about this problem its GROWING...
