My top 10 improvements for Elite!

Greetings CMDRs,

After playing Elite now about 500 hours I would like to share my ideas and problems to improving the game further:

1. „Make Elite Dangerous dangerous“ :
Example:
- If I am doing a trading run and I get interdicted by an NPC, I just throttle back, let the NPC interdict me, spam the boost button, give a bored yawn, spam boost and I am out of here! Works every time. I would appreciate it when this encounters could be more challenging.
- Rare convoys with a very difficult escort that are transporting real treasures.
- Thargoids can spawn everywhere.
- Really dangerous systems.

2. More Modules and hardpoints:
- Module or Hardpoint that can reduce thrust on enemy ship. Maybe a drone that can do this job done. It can also stop the ship when the thrusters are destroyed (to stop it from rotating and floating away).
- Tier variants (mining laser, point defence)
- More missle variants (hull breach, shield emp,..)
- Ability to pick up drones (Hate it to leave them back in the cold void)

3. More and better missions:
- As pirate you get a mission where you can smuggle a spy in a station that will give you a target with a good filled cargobay.
- Or as miner you will get some information that a friendly vessel lately saw an asteroid full of gold.
- A scientist wants you to travel to a specific nebula and collect some samples of the gases. (Could be greatly combined with an exploration trip😀 )

Those are just 3 examples!

4. More Faction gameplay:
- Randomly placed bandit outposts, buildings with stolen goods that can be robbed.
- Ability to join different factions or companies to do missions for them (mining company, scientists,.. no powerplay.)
- After progressing in different factions you get rewards like regular hints on high value haulage vessels or as miner you get sort of a treasure location.

5. Mining: mining is in my opinion sadly the most boring thing you can do in Elite! But it could be so much better if for example
- each asteroid has a very small chance to have a big chunk of gold or something else rendered and can be mined. (Should not be difficult to implement, add gold texture to an existing prefab and make them spawn at a very low percentage).
- there is a very small chance that you find mysterious/rare things inside.
- Adding mining drones
- High tier mining laser that can mine very deep in planet surface, which will take a long time but still rewarding.


6. Salvaging:
- After destroying a ship you can salvage it for random remaining components. Rarely they can drop half destroyed modules or hardpoints which you can repair/sell in some stations.
- Maybe adding blueprints to „build“ completly new unique modules from scrap.

7. Player Market:
- in a few systems you can sell/buy even modified modules/ships from players
8. Maybe oculus touch support like in x-rebirth vr 😄
9. Ability to buy outposts or even stations.
10. Player owned and controlled faction

Some of these improvements I got inspiration from EVE Online (great game).
 
Ok, do you play Horizons or even the base game? Have you even looked at the live streams on the current implementation of Beyond, which by the way, is the latest DLC and you get it free if you own a copy of Horizons. Because most of what you want is coming in Beyond or already exists in the game.

7, 8 and 9 have received an emphatic "NO' from Fdev, you can search and find numerous threads on this.

Item 10 currently exists with more to come in Beyond.

As far as Eve... I don't think the Devs are looking to remake Eve or any other game as they already exist so there is no need.
