Naming of a ship

Anyone know the max character length for a ship? I too have ear-marked a few names for ships: gold sidewinder = Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster (probably have to shorten to Gargle Blaster). "Orblivion" (Cobra?), "Quark Express" (ASP?), and "Kargamondo" for Hauler/Type6 etc. Keep the clever names coming, great thread.
Off the top of my head I think it's 22.
well my goldwinder will be called Heart of Fools Gold

my last ship name is for my anaconda when i can afford it - Serenity Valley or Reynolds Legacy. but that's along way off
I'm going to name my ships so
Sidewinder (budget exploratin craft) "Golden Felicity II" after my old yellow DBX Golden Felicity (btw thank you frontier for the gold paint job)
Eagle (painted like a Red arrow plane) "Crimson Entropy" after my old Eagle of same name and specs
I havent named my Cobra MKIV (fully kitted out exploration craft) yet, but I think Ill call it "SubSpace XLII"
I'm also thinking the Purple paint job
Oh and a cheapy cargo vessle of some kind "L-Haul" lol

The Excalibur was from Crusade. Sheridan had a White Star (though I can't remember if he ever named it).

I think I'll call mine OSG Kintobor.
Though one has about 22 spaces to name their ships, and there can be multiple ships with the same name. PS4 only allows the use of your PSN Account ID as a cmdr's name, not to be confused with user name.
I phoned sony, waited almost an hour and was told by a ps4 employee that the only way around the mandatory use of the psn account id usage as a cmdr name, is to assign a sub account to your ps4 which is generaly a feature for your children. AND give permission to purhase ftom the store and if they are the one who purchase's it. Then the name will match the sub account name. Which has to be different than the actual account name. In addition, it must have it's own email AND be under the age of 18. One can choose any birthday they want in the set up process of sub account, no body checks.
IF one has already pre ordered using the actual psn account id, there's no changing it to a sub account order.

After my return from the Oracle, and reflecting on the words of wisdom, the name of my Goldwinder will be forever known as "Pyrite" or maybe "Pyrite Inside".

That was a name I had considered myself but seeing as how
I won't be in it for more than an hour im not gonna over think it
just to help you both out, in babylon 5/crusade the Excaliber and Victory were the only 2 victory class heavy destroyers. as for whites star's they were only ever numbered 1 to 50, with the only exception white star 27 which was named "maria". hope that helps
