Indeed it's very weird that if there's new CGs starting tomorrow that there's been no announcement yet, to give players time to travel to them if they're "out in the black" - lest they get there when they're half over :_ ...
While i haven't gotten the chance to play the game in about two days, from one of the Galnet topics, it seems the CG will concern upgrading to outposts two space stations (or possibly picking which company upgrades two outposts)...
However aside from the likes of Obsidian Ant talking about CGs returning about a week ago, they've been silent on the topic since :_ .

Lol no, they've talked it up from the moment it was announced, which WAS only last week. 1 week ago. Actually only 6 days ago!
They talked about it on the thursday stream, announced the return of CGs and the narrative. They confirmed on Monday stream that CGs are back, this week.
And the CG itself will only kick in on a Thursday. There's even been discussion in previous years about whether CGs should be announced before they start, but as fdev themselves confirmed it was decided not to because players would pre-game and prepare, plus until it's actually active there could always be problems and if it were cancelled players would have wasted time moving/getting ready etc. One such discussion here.
I was optimistic this week that we will get a date for the 2nd dev diary, but if we dont get one for the next upcoming live stream then I think it's safe to assume that the dev diaries are in two month intervals and this one will be mid October. That's a long wait for trickled info.

Yes I agree. Once a month would be ideal.
I think we're still gonne get a Dev Diary this month. Either this week or next week. Haven't they said at some point we'd get a Dev diary each month?

I'm not sure about their time schedule but it was two months after the teaser before we got our first. I like your optimism and Arf has said as soon as he has the date he'll announce it.
Next week is my bet.

I think in early August they said "dev diaries will begin this month" and some people understood that as they will monthly. Probably wishful thinking.
It depends on if the diaries revolve around the four topic headings- if thats 'it' then a two month spacing would be logical.
