Needs more monkeys

Loving all the monkeys you already have, especially the bonobos and chimps, but the game needs more monkeys.

The word you're looking for is 'primates'. Bonobos and chimpanzees are not monkeys.

I absolutely agree that we need more primates in general, but especially actual monkeys. The capuchin was a wonderful addition, but there are still a handful of commonly-seen species we'll hopefully get in the future. Some kind of spider monkey would be nice, and/or a squirrel monkey. I'd also like to see a true baboon (the Hamadryas baboon is my top pick), and something unique like the proboscis monkey (which has been successfully kept in a few zoos, including most famously Singapore IIRC).

In terms of non-monkey primates, I'd love to see a siamang or white-cheeked gibbon added to the game.

My top monkey picks are:

South America
Uakari
Howler monkey
Spider monkey
White faced saki

Africa
Mantled guereza
Patas monkey
Hamadryas baboon
De Brazza's monkey or Hamlyn's monkey or Diana monkey

Asia
Proboscis monkey
Gibbon of any kind
Tufted black makaque or hulman langur
Lion-tail makaque

They could fill two whole DLC with tamarins and marmosets and I'd buy both. 😂

Golden lion, golden-headed lion, cotton-top, brown-mantled, emperor tamarins.

Common, silvery, and black-tailed marmosets. Even the pygmy marmoset if it was at all doable (I'd take a specialised exhibit for this one, even).

I'd also really love the douc langur, either the red-shanked or grey-shanked. They're such beautiful monkeys.

Forgot about the Douc Langur, used to be on a lot of lists a while ago - haven't seen that one recently

I think a primate pack could work on this one. And for some species like the Proboscis monkey, they work nicely with in-game species as well. (orangutan)
At leasts I've seen some pics where they co-exist - more species with species enrichment would be nice.

Just a quick copy/paste from the wiki-page of Apenheul zoo: The zoo obtained collared mangabeys in 2016, who live on the old proboscis monkey island. The mangabeys will at some point live with the gorillas together with the L'Hoest's monkeys and potentially the patas monkeys. Imo a very interesting thing to see in PZ.

Used to visit this Dutch zoo quite often - with these species https://apenheul.nl/apen-abc
(Didn't see the English version of this section but pics/latin names are good enough)
A very unique zoo exclusively with primates with more than half of the species free-roaming the park.
Highly recommend it if you are a fan of primates and plan to visit the Netherlands in the near future.

These Lists are great. I really hope we will get Baboons and I really want to have a Aye-aye Enclosure in the Game.

Now that I think about Baboons I wonder what happened to the Animals that were mentioned to be seen in the Game in Articles that where written before release. As far as I remember one of the Articles mentioned that they made a Enclosure with Baboons and also some other Species that aren't in the current Game Version (I think Alligators and Dik Diks)

That's an easy one. Reviewers make a lot of mistakes on that part. Most likely a mistake concerning Alligator/Gharial and the Dik-Dik/bongo/gazelle. (they review games, maybe even never been to a RL zoo :D )
Mainly the reason why I stopped reading gamereviews for official reviewers for a long time (+15 years?). They also create a stories based on assumptions on a regular basis.
Seen a really good examples in the variations topic how animals were adressed by other sources than Frontier.

The mandrill was once considered to be part of the baboon family. It isn't anymore (closer to mangabey, but it's own thing) but the reviewers probably thought that was what they were playing with.

But if I remember correctly, they described the Enclosure they've built more like what you can find in many Zoos as a Enclosure for Baboons (I think they described it as a dusty Pit or something similar)

Not sure then - maybe they were just making stuff up and assumed it would be correct after the fact? Or maybe they made a 'dusty pit' for something else, couldn't remember what it was later, and just threw baboon in there? Who knows. There were a few animals found hidden in the game files that were never released as well, such as the howler monkey, and sound files for a gibbon.

It is possible to create a Enclosure that fits the Description relatively good for the Japanese Macaque but I don't think it is possible to somehow confuse them with Baboons.

Why do they make Sounds for Gibbons if they aren't in the Game? I hope that means that they where supposed to be in the Game but there wasn't enough Time left, so we will see them in a DLC

Sigh... would absolutely love a bunch of tamarins and marmosets to work with; Bearded Emperor Tamarin, Cotton-Top Tamarin and Golden-Headed Lion Tamarin would be my top picks... although I wonder if we'd get something of that size as a habitat animal or if they'd wind up in an exhibit...

They'd be habitat animals. The only species I would think is too small for a habitat is the pygmy marmoset, but most tamarins and marmosets aren't any smaller than the baby ring-tailed lemurs in game and they function just fine. Besides which, every zoo I've ever seen them in has them in habitats comparable to those of the capuchin monkeys and other small primates, so I don't see why it should be an issue. They are small, yes, but not miniscule.

That said, since South America has already been covered, I don't know what our chances are of seeing more primates like that in the game any time soon. Fingers crossed, of course, but it might be a while before Frontier touches the subject again, and even then they might prioritise larger, more prolific species like the squirrel monkey before they attempt tamarins and marmosets.
