None of the animals on my list have made it in yet, but I do still have plenty others I want, so I hope it’s okay for me to add five more?

25. Rakali (yep I’m back at it again with the rats)

(Also, I wrote any species of porcupine on my first list, but I think now I would rather my vote go towards the Prehensile-tailed Porcupine? Probably too much work to change that, but if it’s a possibility I just wanna throw it out there!)

Ayy, the list continues!! Five animals for me are actually gonna do the trick, cause I think that's the approximate number that went in from my old list. Other wishes stayed the same more or less so this is great.

It feels weird not putting cold region animals on one of these, but Frontier knocked it out of park with last two DLCs, am satisfied, I can pursuit more exotic animals from now on.

I've been just 3 days on holidays and wow, so much new stuff to take in!

So, I've tried to consider every point that has been raised here and also my current position to reach a final decision. And my decision is that there won't be a new meta-wishlist iterarion from my part. However, from this very moment I will allow voting for 5 additional animals to the people who have already submitted a list (making it 25 animals in total). Everyone, regardless of how many of their 'essential' animals made it to the game already, is allowed to make 5 extra votes. I think this is fair for everyone.
'Why 5?' Some people might ask. Well, I took a look at the first 30-40 submitted lists and most of them had 2-6 animals that were later implemented in PZ. Also, given that we still don't have aviary animals (it's expected but not confirmed) and that we should be getting presumably at least 22 more habitat animals in PZ (assuming 2 more animals packs and 2 more scenery packs), I think 5 extra animals is a good figure.

I know some people might not like this and won't agree with this but I honestly think it's the best option to:
-Allow extra votes, particularly thinking of the people who saw many of their resquested animals disappear from the list (cause of being added in PZ).
-Keep this maybe not perfect, but very valuable list with all its valuable data (>300 participants and counting, I doubt a new one would reach this figure).
-Give me less work. Starting a new meta-wishlist completely from scratch is extremely time consuming. Allowing a specific number of votes to those that had a number of their requested animals added is also a hell of a lot of work. Adding 5 additional animals from everyone is still some work but a good compromise. I'm submitting my PhD soon so time is very precious to me right now haha.

I hope you all understand my reasoning and also my current circumstances. If anyone wants to start a new meta-wishlist I would support it and of course, participate! Submissions of your 5 additional votes are now open! The OP will soon be changed since this will now become the 'New 25 essential animals meta-wishlist'.

So far I've got the alligator, and an ibex and a fallow deer, but notthe exact species I aimed for.

Random goat, if you feel really generous (and you really don't have to), I'd like to cross the Nubian Ibex and Persian fallow deer from my original list (as the chances of getting them now dropped to zero), and replace them with:

If anyone is not sure what to add to their list, allow me to campaign for the Northern Luzon Giant Cloud Rat.

Look at this! It’s a panda rat! How could you not want this in your zoo? They are semi-arboreal, a little bigger than a prairie dog, and don’t live in huge social groups, so they’d be a great option for filling space with a smaller exhibit or for an indoor habitat. They only live in Luzon, in the Philippines, and so far the only animal we have from this area is the binturong.
