New Animals Found in Planet Zoo Files

Also there is video at youtube where someone calims there are game's data which mentions:
Polar bear
Jaguar
Leopard (unspecified,most likely African)
Deer (unspecified)
Northern-white cheeked gibbon
Black howler monkey
Black Rhinoceros

I would take these with a pich of salt, but who knows.

Oh I hope I hope I hope!

There's also audio clips with characters mentioning red ruffed lemurs, gila monsters, bonobos, Siberian tigers, and "pandas" (likely giant).

Edit: Forgot some genera. Also, this is not an exhaustive list. There's still genera missing given folder names that have been found.
Hey, good to see this list. :)
Its weird isn't it? I mean, people didn't really want hybrid animals, but there in the game apparently.
why should it be weird?
I think Hybrid animals will look great. I don't think people not want it. :)
What did you mean when you meant people didn't want to? You mean people don't have such a demand(wish)?

If there are hybrid animals in the game, it makes me very happy. I love this part of Frontier. they do their job very well. :)
I say it every time, but they deserve it. :)

Eh, I'm not upset over a hybrid animal, but the thing is, most of them are extremely unhealthy.

To those concerned about certain animal files not being in the data mine, that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't in the game, just not in the beta files. As mentioned from dataminers some animals get referenced without their species profile being explicit. Animals like the Red Deer are heavily mentioned but don't have a direct genera file, but through other sources (a deer folder, the various statue and prop references, we can assume this is a species). All things considered, datamines, leaks, etc. we are easily looking at nearly 100 animals, which actually is a really good marketing strategy. Advertise "50" and then actually include almost double. Based on everything we've collected we can add:

-American Alligators
-American Bison
-Asian Pangolins
-Bactrian Camels
-Baboons
-Black Rhinos
-Bongos
-Bonobos
-Dik-diks
-Dromedary Camels
-Howler Monkeys
-Giant Pandas
-Greater Flamingo
-Jaguars
-Japanese Macaques
-Spotted Hyenas
-Nile Crocodiles
-Nyala
-Peccaries
-Polar Bears
-Red Deer
-Red Ruffed Lemurs
-Siberian Tigers

As a note, some of these species are up for debate still. Polar Bears, Peccaries, Howler Monkeys and other rumored animals like Panthers and Penguins are not 100%. Many of these animals are based on folder suggestions (such as "Large Bears", "Flightless Birds" or "Panthera" as a folder which could technically just refer to existing creatures).
While it is disappointing to not see any signs of Kangaroos or other Australian animals, or the potential for no arctic animals, it also seems to indicate they are a prime DLC target. Frontier appears to have chosen to go with a clever marketing tactic where, to mitigate disappointment, they promised less, so that even if they didn't deliver 100 animals by launch, any number added after 50 would be a bonus. With over 90+ so far (not including exhibit animals) it is hard to argue they didn't include a lot of diversity, even if it means some animals are missing in the base game. We can also still be surprised. Dik-diks, and Baboons weren't in the files at all and still got leaked, so its not a huge stretch to think there are still amazingly enough, more animals we still don't know about before launch.

Heck, even with the animals we have now, I'm already happy. The base roster is the biggest of any zoo game, and probably will get bigger years after release.

I'm way more hopeful about the number of animals now, but a little nervous that some of the animals people are banking on because there are signs, statues, etc. in the game are actually false flags or whatever.

Same thing with the folders/files. These are definitely indicators that animals will probably be in the game, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up for much more than 50 at this point. That way? I won't be disappointed, but if there are a whole mess of new animals we didn't see coming? I'll just be pleasantly surprised, haha.

Also, according to OP, these are some files in the game

There are several strings that refer to decorations of animals otherwise unmentioned in the code. I didn't include these as Frontier has mentioned before that animals in art don't quanity animals usable to players (the most prominent example being the dodo, to my disappointment).

It seems so strange/awkward to include animals in signage that aren't in the game. I "get it" if it's for shops or whatever, but still feels very very odd to me.

But clearly there's some sort of "plan" for that sort of thing if they've referenced it... That's going to bum some people out (and confuse others), I think.

Very cool to read, I already had a feeling about many of the animals listed here.
And in my eyes it kinda gives insight what some of the future dlc's might.
The lack of polar bears & penguins kinda feels like a Polar Pack might be a future dlc.
The lack of Australian fauna might indicate a Down-Under pack.
No meerkats, otters, beavers, capybara's and other small mammals strongly makes me believe we will one day see a small mammal DLC.

I am thinking we an arctic/polar and Australian DLC pack (hopefully, each with their own unique themes) will be coming down the pipeline as time goes along.

I'm a bit less convinced about "small mammals," but I am very passionate about this one as it could help to "flesh out" certain corners of the zoos. It's great to have the big habitats and the tiny exhibits, but really, wouldn't it be cool to have a handful of large outdoor African savannah exhibits with a few smaller habitats in-between (meerkats, aardvark, some monkeys, a bird or two in an aviary). Would help things feel a bit more realistic rather than just focusing on the large, "big ticket" animals.

And some of the animals you listed (otters and meerkats, specifically) are arguably just as big a draw at the zoo as their larger regional counterparts!

Yes I think those are quite obvious future DLC's, along with an avian & aquatic DLC. Although the latter might be a few years away because if they are going to be made, I believe they are going to be very big DLC's.

The reason I am speculation about a DLC that focusses on small mammals/animals is because like you said they are a great way to fill in your smaller area's between large habitats and they can be as big of a guest magnet as some of the larger animals.
I think a DLC like this could have great potential, add in besides the meerkats & otters som beavers, porcupines, cabybaras, patagonian mara's, armadillo's, tamandua's, fennecs, mouse deer, agouti, jerboa's sengi's, squirrel monkeys or other new world monkeys, hyraxes, raccoons, skunks, coati's, mustelids, wolverines, ratels, civets, perhaps even a sloth & bats. There are a lot of possibilities for a DLC like that

And just like we have exhibit terraria they could add in some exhibits for small mammals like sugar gliders, rodents, Insectivorans, small Lemuriformes, tamarins & marmosets. Some new foliage types, new building types and decorations and maybe something materials for nocturnal enclosures.

I think we might see a DLC like this in the future, perhaps not as extensive as I just discribed, but I think the smaller animals will get some attention in a future dlc pack, one can only hope! :)

Unless they go full-on "Marine Mania," I don't think we'll have to wait so long for additional aquatic content. I can see them adding some exhibit animals that are fully aquatic with certain packs (e.g., piranhas as part of an "Amazonian" DLC pack). Similarly, I think the game already has the mechanics for things like seas, sea lions, otters, etc. Those would probably be a beast to animate, but the mechanics are there...

So unless they go full-on aquarium with a DLC pack (and to be honest, I kinda hope they don't) I don't know that it would be years away or that it would be a massive pack. But that also depends on how long they plan to support this game with new content! And what each of the packs looks like... Because for the habitat animals listed above, you'd also want some water-based enrichment items (and probably food options) as well as additional foliage and maybe even a new biome or two.

Who knows what the release schedule will be like for these, or what each pack will contain. This is very different in terms of content compared to what they were working with for PlanCo, and there are far more options for Planet Coo compared to ZWE in terms of enrichment, food, fencing, etc.

I'm pretty hopeful for all of this! And I think some of what you've called out are among the most likely as far as habitat animals go. And I'm shocked that the ratel doesn't come up more!

I do have to say though, that instead of restricting some of the ones you called out to exhibits (tamarins, sugar gliders) that they implement some sort of "large exhibit" or "aviary" system (and appropriate design tools, foliage, enrichment items, etc) as well as a means to devise indoor exhibits in a more straightforward way that would allow us a bit more control in terms of the exhibit design. I get that these are things you can do with the current game. But how fun would it be to be able to set down an exhibit "tank" (not really, but you know what I mean) of a specified size and populate it with plants, water, enrichment items, etc. And allowing some of the animals to have outdoor exhibits connected to the indoor ones too! I'm aleady daydreaming about creating a "Small Mammal House" with a section for tamarins indoors and outdoors, maybe having an otter exhibit outdoors just outside of the entrance, a nocturnal animal wing, etc.

The possibilities seem endless! But I feel like a lot of this a way away if it ever happens.

I fully expect to see many of these species (otters, porcupine, marmosets, capybara, etc) make into the game at some point. However I sincerely doubt that they would be marketed as a "small mammal" pack. Personally I think this would be a major marketing fail. I fancy myself an amateur zoologist and even to me this title sounds uninspiring, perhaps because "small mammal" to me refers to a very specific subset of animals formerly referred to as "pocket pets". I have no interest in paying to have virtual gerbils and guinea pigs.
The species that people are lumping together into the label "small mammal" are so diverse taxonomically, size-wise, geographically, or any other category you should choose, as to make the label meaningless and ridiculous. I think Frontier is far more likely to release thematic packs, such as the predicted geographic (e.g. Australian) or biome (e.g. polar) packs. I expect these to have more popular appeal, and also lend themselves to including themed items and decor. I think even taxonomic packs (e.g. felids, canids, ungulates, etc.) would fair better than a totally random grouping such as the proposed "small mammals". I hope we do see some taxonomic packs such as primates & aves, but I think by and large other such packs would be unsuccessful. I have already seen complaints that there are too many ungulates in the game, a pack dedicated to exotic deer and antelope may be a tough sell.
