New dev diary next Tuesday?

It would be ~1 month since the last one. Something has to happen when they make Horizons free for all. Maybe they'll even start preorder (which would make sense after the change to Horizons).

The fourth dev diary would come in November with the beta announcement.

As others have suggested I think any dev diary will be later in November- the 12th. Happy to be wrong though.

I think it was 6 weeks between the first and second Dev diary. So it might be 10th November. Maybe.

Is there going to be a third? FDev fulfilled the technical requirement of 'updates' with the two we've had.

Looking forward to finding out how walking about in a zero-G outpost is going to be handled.

out of interest (and from your past experience) how does beta's work in elite?
do you pay, do they normally include consoles, do you keep the saved exploits for the game proper?

There hasn't been a hint of a tease of a preannouncement of the 3rd Dev Diary. Jumping the gun is getting to be a habit for Mr Babel

Nothing but your knowledge learned carries over. Whether there will be one, and whether it will include consoles or be available to all, only to Odyssey owners or an optional extra is unknown.

I think I remember someone from Frontier said that second trailer for Odyssey came too early for some reason, so they were not fully ready with the 2nd diary?
This might mean we'll wait little longer for the next one.

Just need to fix the painite infinite demand bug and it would vastly reduce the payout of laser miners.

The question is why they chose the 27th for the Horizons change. They could do it on any other day.

October 27th or Oct 27 (Octal 27) is Dec 23 (Decimal 23) which could be the date (December 23rd) where Frontier announce the release date for Odyssey.

Honestly, unless they have something specific they want us to test, I hope a beta shows off the Odyssey new player experience and your save doesn't carry over. I don't want to wipe my save or buy another account, but I really want to experience Odyssey's intro fresh, even if it's just in a beta.
