New dev diary next Tuesday?

They've been extra quiet these days without any teases. Perhaps they're preparing for something big, like a new trailer or maybe even a beta announcement when Horizons is officially bundled into the base game next week. Hope to see Arthur and Bruce on tomorrow's stream, maybe then they might go off script and tease something.
...or working out the wording on how to say it is delayed.

Odyssey marketing has been pretty stale lately... I don't understand why they can't post some screenshots or snippets of already announced features on a weekly or bi weekly basis. What's the harm in keeping a constant flow of content without revealing anything new.

On the supernews cruise they said 'no news about the dev diary'. So .. see every next Tuesday then :)
Of course they did, because Stephen was in it following a script in zombie mode as usual, no teasing, no talking about what's already been announced to keep the excitement going, nothing. Expect exciting news only when Arthur is on the streams

In other words Stephen was doing his job, not revealing things he isn't allowed to?

And I'm quite sure Stephen won't give a toss, but your insults are uncalled for.

Because then people would just say there's nothing new anyway, same old boring stuff. They can't win. Also hype fatigue.

I have a good feeling about this Tuesday, I wonder if this really is a leak from the Dev Diary script 🤔 If stuff leaks then I guess they'll have to push out the Dev Diary even if they didn't plan to ;)

While the weapon engineering is mostly what people have been looking forward to for a while - long range, silenced, and short range to give players the option of rifle, silencer, shotgun type effects we are most pleased by the Special Effects that can be added on top of these. Two that we will be talking about today we are calling 'T-shirt Cannon' and 'Riverdance'.

With T-shirt Cannon when you hit the opposition then a random Holo-Me will be applied to that CMDR (or NPC) until they die. This should add a lot of fun to the mission fights, and when you add in the new Holo-Me costumes such as Elvis and Cinderella I'm sure you will see the possibilities.

Riverdance is another great special. With the addition of Dance Emotes into the game with Odyssey we saw the opportunity to make these a bigger part of the game. Riverdance gives you the chance to make other players perform the emote when hit. Imagine the fun as you hurl a grenade into a group of players that instantly become a dance troupe performing the latest BTS dance moves!

And these special effects aren't only for fun - larger holo-mes (like the ever popular Mr Blobby) will increase your opponent's hitbox, making them an easier target, and your opponent is essentially helpless while they perform dance moves, so you can count on an easy kill.
