The most notable change to me was the Eagle cockpit, it's entirely revamped, and looking better than ever:

so ... new cockpit indeed... could it be an eagle markIII

edit now: never mind, the little picture above the hull % suggests me that is the eagle mkII that we know.

Very nice new cockpit.

"Soon™" implies that something *will* happen at some indeterminate point in the future. "Might" would seem to imply that something will "maybe" happen at tome indeterminate point in the future, so "Soon™ (maybe)". ;)

Well, as FD really keeps their lips shut about their "maybes", fact they show this in trailer, and as Michael says, they "like" them indicates in my opinion that they might want to do them for first release or soon after that. However, they can't tell for sure, as first things first, so they are still low on priority list and there's still huge list of things to implement. Same as Sandro said about BBS faces...they would love to, but they would love to also stick with already delayed schedule. Hoping for the best :)

Have to say those were very convincingly moving avatars.

I think the people should certainly be in... also given everything else was genuine in game I worry this may have been an error putting them in as it just gives naysayers summat to moan about.

BTW that eagle cockpit looks much better. I was kind of hoping the current one was placeholder as it just didnt seem to have had as much love spent on it imo.

that seems to now be addressed :)

Yes, the little people in it are fantastic. Now we just need to see them tossing around 1 tonne cargo cannisters in low grav. :)

The music is lovely as well. I usually dislike choires in game music, but I didn't really notice here until the 2nd time I watched it.

Have I just missed it before, or is that the first time we have seen people were going to be in the game on release? I remember years ago the (sadly canned) Outsider was meant to be a tester for ED, so presumably the software was already there.

Now, we just need planetary landings.....

(I know you want all the planets to look beautiful DB, but I'll be happy with them blocky, starports floating off the ground (nostalgia), or a cludge that says "these planets are great, but unfortunately your visors make them look all fuzzy and blocky" ;)

The whole thing looks to have had an extra bit of graphical sparkle added and I really like the people, it gives a proper sense of scale. I've posted it on the Limit Theory forum and put the caveat on it that the people aren't in the game.....yet :)

The footage is all in game with some colour grading and the little people were comped in. We do like them though so they might make the game some day.

Hey so when the Eagle is landing, there's no shadow cast from the strong flood light directly behind it, away from the camera. Later on, once the Eagle is on the ground we see some very nice shadowing from the same light source.

Is this another example of what got modified during the post-production process? The shadowing really make those ships become real, so It'd be good to know if that'll make it into the game at some point as a real-time effect.

One of the devs said quite some time ago that this was on "the list"...it's probably a pretty long list though. ;)
