The OP points have been fully discussed, but some other discussions are still open and it's clear that we don't have the knowledge of full details (no one here ever worked with the Cobra engine) so it's time to stop wasting time here, we have more important speculations about the game to do.

Not so fast! I do have some first hand experience with the Cobra engine, but that was quite some time ago.
