New games in 2020. you are looking forward to!

Also got the Shipbreaker game. Satisfactory tears too much into the time budget right now. It really resonates with me. The menu and UI doesn't, but maybe it will be worked on.

This is a showcase of the newest addition to the Total War franchise, a strategy card game, called Total War ELYSIUM, which will be playable on PC, Android and iOS. It is free-to-play with an in-game store which doesn’t offer anything besides saving time in unlocking new generals and cards. These playable generals and their units are all from different historical periods and nations. The board features two battle lines and combat is much more dynamic then in other CCG.

Generals from across history and Total War titles are brought together to go head to head in epic showdowns. Experience countless exciting battles, build masterful decks, and dominate the battlefield as history’s most famous leaders fight to claim the ultimate mastery of war. Welcome to Elysium.

4 games are now included in my radar for 2020.

First: Planet Coaster Console edition

The game has been around since 2016 but I am definitely looking forward to the console port. It will be interesting as I want to see how Frontier has adapted the controls of a game primarily made for PC work with controls and console specs. It is already a fun title and this may lead to a potential port of their Planet Zoo game since they are both of the same series.

Second: Crash Bandicoot 4

Everyone knows what this game is, and I am excited for it. I was concerned with how the game could work as a new title could make or break what the games are known for. What got me excited is that some youtubers that I follow got access to the demo of this game, and their experience plus the footage of those levels really sold me the idea that this game will be a new, refreshing, and faithful entry to the first 3 games on the original grey box.

Third: The Eternal Cylinder

This is not as known but I love what this game is building up to be. It started as a side personal project in the ACE team from 5 years ago (who are behind the Rock of Ages games) and it looks like a fun retro sense of adventure. If Spore was more serious, linear, and focused on deeper platforming gameplay, this could be it. Plus the premise of the game's settings has definitely got me hooked in.

Fourth: Prehistoric Kingdom

This has been an indie dinosaur tycoon game that has been in the furnace since I believe 2015. It has been a game I was expecting for the longest time since the last dinosaur focused tycoon game was Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. Now we have Jurassic World Evolution and I love that game, but this game is still in my radar since I backed it up. I am looking forward to when the game gets Early Access released supposedly sometime this year. It will be fun to finally dive right in!

I've got Prehistoric Kingdom on my sights too.

Hopefully it will address the itch that JWE failed to scratch. While FD's park games are hands down a park builder's wet dream due to the incredible freedom and detail (just look at some Planet Zoo parks on youtube, people have done absolutely incredible things), I find them to be very meager on the tycoon/management aspects, which is what interests me the most.

Yeah. JWE was a lot of fun, but it always felt like it never reached its full potential and definitely felt rushed. I could imagine that it being a tycoon game made with consoles in mind, and uses a Universal Studios IP made it what it is. There is rumor of a JWE sequel, so I am looking forward to have Prehistoric Kingdom be my scientifically accurate dinosaur tycoon game, and Jurassic World Evolution "2" as the more indepth Jurassic Park game. A healthy competition helps in developing better games.

I will only be buying and playing ONE new game in 2020: Microsoft Flight Simulator.
