ED (was) a game that proudly posted "MADE for VR" on the website... so yeah, there are more VR players here than you think.

Taxi Booth makes it seem like you're going to travel to different semi-open areas instead of being able to cruise all the way there on the planet surface....

:ROFLMAO: We can name our FCs, right? Bring our "whining negativity" (as another forum user put it) directly into to the game itself. Protest Carriers. Not that I'm petty or anything.

Bingo, there has been threads about this in the VR section of these forums ever since.

What really baffles me is that they are not upfront about it. Its all.. "hard" and "not at launch".

If they were smart they should at least provide atmospheric planets without legs in Horizons so that people can still use VR and fly through atmospheric planets at least. I don't care so much about legs, I've always been interested in atmospheric planets.

First fair statement probably - no doubts there whole EDO expansion will be a hell of a grind.

In summary, the whole press release is a PR chinwag, and there is less truth in it, than in gamestar article. Though fanatics gonna believe to each word from FDev. Even after obvious comparisons of all previous FDev trailers vs actual delivered gameplay :D

I would certainly believe fdev rather than that website, especially as the article is explicitly written from the point of SC being better than ED. Something similar to some of your posts.

The last time they charged us was in 2015. Since it has been free. That has to stop at some point.

I'd imagine they'll apply the engine/planet tech updates to all game versions. I don't think it would make much sense to maintain several versions of the game code.

This was never the case with basegame vs Horizons. The planet models was not updated in basegame.

I dont think there will be anything free this time.

So let's say that if I buy Odyssey I can access to Atmospheric Planets in Horizons too, so I can fly through them in VR. This would be a great deal for me.

If atmospherics is part of Odyssey its most likely a no.

If there is any hope, it would be that they either come to their senses or split Odyssey into two - one with atmos only (seated VR as we know it) and one with atmos and legs (no VR)
