Someone was nostalgic for XP.In other news, Microsoft is bringing us windows with rounded corners, because square rectangles are so "last year".

it is simply a very quick demonstration of a very simple procedural texture used at different frequencies on three separate spheres it was not meant to be something amazingThat's kinda rude. They reminds me of the planets in Kerbal space program. Before mods.
With mods, a lot of them look better than odyssey.
I didn't really understand, but I'll nod my head for a non committal agreement, so I don't look like stupid, but can still say I didn't agree in case someone proved that statement wrong.it is simply a very quick demonstration of a very simple procedural texture used at different frequencies on three separate spheres it was not meant to be something amazing
Ah, see it looked like an example of the LODs being used and why it's bad when it 's instantaneously and jarringly popping between each one.it is simply a very quick demonstration of a very simple procedural texture used at different frequencies on three separate spheres it was not meant to be something amazing
Screenshots please! They reminds me of the planets in Kerbal space program. Before mods.

yeah it failed to add my text (oops) but it was a really basic five mins set up kind of renderAh, see it looked like an example of the LODs being used and why it's bad when it 's instantaneously and jarringly popping between each one.
I also deeply suspect a form of the 3d package I am using here is what FDEV have been using as part of their generation system, this program is ancientAh, see it looked like an example of the LODs being used and why it's bad when it 's instantaneously and jarringly popping between each one.
It never pretended to be it
Right after they enter beta.CIG have talked about SC having VR since practically the start.
There was a dev post this year about them still planning on adding VR at some point.
I made a topic recently with some kerbal planet. I think you saw it. Anyway.Screenshots please!
I own KSP but have never played it. Perhaps I will, after my honeymoon with X4 is overI made a topic recently with some kerbal planet. I think you saw it. Anyway.
I had to remove that one from it because it was way too pretty:

That's from kerbal
Anyway, just comparing those :
Dav's hope (settlement moved, place is the same otherwise, horizon vs odyssey)

Not only the planet itself is better, but the skybox to.
Never thought I'd say that someday.
I haven't played kerbal since a while, I just found pictures on the net![]()
It's a very good game, but it's very much a "NASA simulator". Not a space sim at all.I own KSP but have never played it. Perhaps I will, after my honeymoon with X4 is over![]()
Get your calculator and your notebook outI own KSP but have never played it. Perhaps I will, after my honeymoon with X4 is over![]()
Memories of using Bryce and Vue decades ago to generate landscapes for my mods for Infinity Engine games...I also deeply suspect a form of the 3d package I am using here is what FDEV have been using as part of their generation system, this program is ancient
yes indeed, I love Bryce for playing with and it can be spectacular, but serious game companies should not be using stock poser figures and bryce as part of their game designMemories of using Bryce and Vue decades ago to generate landscapes for my mods for Infinity Engine games...
and so happy you noticed it was BryceMemories of using Bryce and Vue decades ago to generate landscapes for my mods for Infinity Engine games...
Oh, if you had spent as long as I have waiting for something to render in that, on a potato system from the mid-90s.....and so happy you noticed it was Bryce
... in the mean time, in a galaxy far away from ED...
