I simply checked my old screenshots, it's that easy.We see what we desperately want to see.

The support ticket has been "Acknowledged"!!!
That's great news, a sign that hopefully it will be improved at least, if not outright re-made. Exploration is a massive part of the game, and to have repeating pattens like this i feel is simply untenable when it comes to holding on to a large part of the player-base.The support ticket has been "Acknowledged"!!!
Most just have ty gfx because of their potato pc, which isnt ready for nextgen. Look at this image better. This is a real next gen.Outstanding to you, underwhelming for most others especially compared to claims.
As for the image, the thick haze sat in the deep craters so it was very well done, but I won't let your confirmation bias get in the way...
Working as per design!
What's the worst that can happen? FD made aware of the issue if it is a bug? Loud voices do in fact work better. We see what we desperately want to see.
But some slopes are still steep, and walking on them still looks ridiculous. So the new terrain didn't really fix that problem.Read the posts I'm responding to. They claimed the landscapes had been flattened because the walking animation looked ridiculous on steep slopes.

Exhibit A.
There are a lot more like it in this thread, so instead of throwing out the "Horizons does it too" trope, read it and comprehend the underlying issue and how in EDO it will effect the foundation of exploring a 1:1 scale galaxy. Lets hope its a bug and not a feature, eh?
Somebody just spilt a beer on keyboard while writing a code. Crap happens. What's the worst that can happen? FD made aware of the issue if it is a bug? Loud voices do in fact work better.
Yes, it's ridiculous that people throw out insults and accusations of malice or neglect from the developers. It could be a bug, I certainly hope so, but it might also be an unfortunate design choice.
Horizons didnt had such scanner so it went unnoticed. No, this is just an example of how the feature should indeed work.
But you can't deny there is actually issues like this one :
OK this is just getting ridiculous now. This is all I see now. I'm sure others can't unsee the galactic dragons either. For me it's the interstellar chickens:
Chris, please. Can you add some gameplay first? Especially exploration feel like in Elite? And wheres Squadron 42? Looks like I will die sooner than will see it. And Im 19 yo.I would like to add actually, that as an explorer, if Elite becomes a game where these planet copies become the norm, then why would i stay instead of go to somehwere like Star Citizen? Elite's huge galaxy will become pointless, as you'll find the same things whether you are 50000 light years away, as if you were inside the bubble, meaning why even have the large galaxy at all? Just cut the game down to the bubble area and be done with it.
What would i stay for, the ships? To me Elite's ships aren't 'iconic', they are dumb looking for the most part, Star Citizen's ships look far more amazing. Take my ability to find new things away and Star Citizen's limited but vastly more realistic looking world becomes more appealing. Heck we have the same frame-rates now anyway, so i won't notice that difference either.
No it isn't, you're just getting annoyed with other people's opinions once more, just as you did yesterday going around calling people hysterical. Now it's 'ridiculous'. Maybe come up with some of your own ideas for a change instead of labelling other people's opinions to suit your own narrative, because you can't deal with reality.OK this is just getting ridiculous now.
This is all I see now. I'm sure others can't unsee the galactic dragons either. For me it's the interstellar chickens:
Relax, they aren't ACTUALLY chickens.OK this is just getting ridiculous now.
I don't see anything even after you pointed "them" out.
Methinks it is like a weaselIf I'm gonna pay 40 bucks, gimme space cats!View attachment 231065
You know, I would pay money for having giant cat statues scattered across some planets. Preferably with yarn surface material. If I'm gonna pay 40 bucks, gimme space cats!View attachment 231065
The screenshots post in post 4 and post 863 are undeniable. But some people won't accept it or even acknowledge it. They'll defend this mess until their dying breath. Best ignore them, they're a tiny minority here. The vast majority know what this means to exploration if its a feature and not a bug. And I'm not even an explorer, but even I know this is a dagger in the heart for exploring in Elite if its not a fixable bug.Relax, they aren't ACTUALLY chickens.
When you say anything do you mean you can't see the fowl or the repeating patterns.
It ain't ridiculous either-- this is a big issue and these features reduce the variety a lot. It might be a bug, let's hope it is. It might be by design, let's hope enough noise will get them to change it.
