Some players missed out on the Cobra MkIV & while it's not a great ship it has some benefits that can make it desirable.
It has more internal module slots than any other small pad ship,
It can potentially carry more more cargo any other small pad ship,
It's the cheapest ship with 8 internal module slots, making it a good mining ship.
If we were to have small pad only docks, the Cobra MkIV would become a meta-ship, a mini-Python if you like.
I propose a functionally identical but different looking ship be made available for all to purchase. A mini-Asp, a maxi-Diamondback, that kind of idea, but all it's stats would be identical to the Cobra MkIV.
This retains the Cobra MkIV's exclusivity but overcomes any advantage gained or lost by making it available to all. The Cobra MkIV paintjobs etc would be completely unaffected, everyone (whether they have access to the Cobra MkIV or not) gets to enjoy the objective benefits of owning one, overcoming the exclusivity deal.
