New Update won't take

I need some help understanding this. I just got ED 2 days ago so please bear with me. I restarted my computer and steam downloaded an update for ED. However whenever I open ED it gives me the error for needing an update. I have restarted twice after and nothing has changed. What do I need to do so the game recognized I've updated?

Exactly the same is happening here. Steam updated the game, but the launcher still requests an update and wont start anything. I have relogged steam several times. Even reboot computer. No fix. Any help or suggestion will be most welcome ¡¡¡ :)

EDIT: Launching the game from the Steam Games Library Window and selecting ED+Horizons option launched the game for me. Solution found in steam forums.

You need to launch through the Steam client - that is what authenticates your purchase. (for those whose game is on the team platform, which yours will be)

I've no specific knowledge of the update installation issue (and I guess that I will not until I get a chance to update mine in a few hours time), however I suppose this could just be something like the update source not replication to all of the install points on the Internet. If that's the case then it will either solve itself when replication complete, or when the server hamsters kick the process.

It is fixed now I think you will find - it worked OK from my desktop shortcut just now - earlier I had to launch fro the Steam Library.
