No plans to move.

If its like the PC version, more bugs will be added as the OLD EDH does not exist any more and is being replaced with edo compatibility version updates as more EDO updates release....

It will runs too the bloody end, and when the last few cmdrs. Leaving the game they will decide to shut down the servers. I didn’t think that many cmdrs will stick to an dead game.

mindgame, new player on consoles checks that the game is evolving but not on consoles, no new ships no nothing, they will stick to it for 2-5 weeks and after that they will put the hat off. It’s totally sad to say, but elite hasn’t a future on console. For new players it’s a half baked Game, where they couldn’t affect anything at some points and the lore stuff will end within this year for HRZN.

sad but true. Only a totally change of their current plans and a moneyrain would prevent the consoles from death.

so elite has no future on consoles. I mean when we didn’t get new content, new lore stuff, new ships and so on, what would be the reason to stay with it. After all things are putting away from elite, you will end with an game which shows a huge galaxy and many of opportunity’s but you are the child that has no friends and see the other playing from distance.

my guess, after the ending of azimuth saga the consoles are official death, sorry but powerplay and bgs couldn’t pull it out for me, because you can be affected by things which are only works on EDO and you can’t do anything about this.

for the new players, have fun but before you buy it on consoles you should really think about it, to buy a game which is barley dying. It’s hurts to say, but the wiser option is to buy it for pc.

No-one has anything to lose by accepting the account transfer that Frontier will be offering in the future. You get an almost full duplicate of your console account ready to go on PC and a copy of the base game with it, and you get to keep your console commander if you desire to continue on console, which you say you want to do.

You may have no plans to move at this point, and that's fair enough, but can you honestly say that those plans may not change in the future at some point? If and when that happens you will be ready to go barring any further progress you made using your console commander.

I'm not trying to say it's the best situation overall, but barring Odyssey not coming to consoles it really is the next best thing, realistically speaking IMO.

That's a good point about the game in the future.

If they do offer the transfer as you suggest, how will they publicise it? Not everyone who plays the game looks at these forums, I only look occasionally.

The best way would be a notification on the console itself, or an update to the game that shows details of the offer on the main menu of the game.

I don't know to be honest, Frontier have said they would announce it when it is ready but I would just keep checking their livestreams as that seems to be a good source of info in regards to it and other things. I would hope that there would be a message that shows up when launching the game on console or something if possible? o7

That could happen, but I do not see why they woud have to shut it down. FG should announce that they are going to keep it running. They just need to keep doing what they are doing and it will be fine.

This ☝️

They do have the email addresses of all account holders, so besides advertising on forums and social media channels, they can also mass mail all console account holders
A mass mail may also have the benefit of rekindling some old players to Elite.

We have a whole group of CMDRs on PS who have been growing the PS community. We have CMDRs in the bubble, finding new players and we work with them to make money and grow. The last CG we made 159 billion and resulted in 6 new fleet carrier owners. I do not see PS4 ED going anywhere. We are older and most of us are in front of a computer all day. Last thing that we want to do is come home and sit in front of a computer, with a small screen.

The HDMI cable that connects the Console to TV. connects PC to the same exact TV...
This is why services like GeForce now and steam link app were getting so much attention, as by default they are run on massive LCD TVs...
You dont look as a small screen the same 40inch - 80iinch TV works with the HDMI out of the graphics card...

The myth that you use a <13inch screen is a myth monitor companies use to sell people over priced junk small screens...

That only happens if your graphics card has a HDMI slot
Then by the £3 adapter for USB and Display port to HDMI. They all connect to the HDMI as there all digital HDMI signal pretending to be another standard when there nothing but HDMI signals anyway on the same cables...

VGA ports Convertion can be done if its all Digital but if its only got VGA then the PC card wont run Elite any way...
Which is the real reason to not switch unless you can run chrome web browser which then runs Geforce now...

I wish that I had a chart that showed the number of new commanders on the PS. I have meet so many CMDRs who are returning to PS, and it makes me wonder.

I think one might have to have a PC older than 10 years (if it was bought to play games on, not just do 'Office') to not have at least one HDMI socket available, but am happy enough to be proven wrong if that was so.
Yeah that has become pretty standard these days.

When I started paying ED (on PC), I was playing on the TV in the livingroom.
