put i elite dangerouse offline
you will get 100s of replys from different sourses even wikipidia
and the all point out the offline no internet option, some even tag to the press relesses/utube clips of DB saying its in there
go have a look then come back with rubbish about never prommised

Oh KS peeps can get their money back! They clearly promised a different product. (a DRM free offline game) And while KS won't refund it, FD legally has to.

No I haven't played the game and now it looks like I never will. And yes I know you can play it solo while connected online but that doesn't help one bit to me. I do not rent games I own them. I'll decide when and where I want to play my games.
I find it very unprofessional of the developers to go back on their word like this.

You're right in saying that, but you agreed with the terms and conditions of the store as soon as you hit 'check out' there. As soon as you paid for your purchase, it was made available to you and from that point forward, you'll have to live with it.
There are outside means to get Frontier to refund you, but that varies from country to country and it will take a lot of pro-activity from your end and you have to ask yourself if you want to go through all that trouble. I fully understand if you do that for the principle of it, though.
I wish that Frontier had stated that Off-line was being looked at with a very slim chance of making into the final release; I would have waited for the finished product then. But yeah, I'm over it. I only regret that I won't get as much usability out of the game as I originally thought that I would. Right now I'm more worried over what else is getting dropped in return for five extra ships.

No it has been explained on the forum by the dev team why this is the case.
You're not seeing the big picture. When FD close the servers in say 7 years, you lose your game.
I've been playing Frontier: Elite 2 for 25 years, and was planning to do the same with E: D. No can do, thank you very muck. And no, it's not a typo...
Pretty much, also hacks and cheats, if they give out the server they pretty much know within a week there will be hacked clients all over the place as the server is reverse engineered. I think they should release the server and encourage the mod community to start modding and injecting events into their own servers... and do with it what they will, imagine the ED mods people could make

He might not. As already stated, Frontier have said that on a case by case basis they are looking at refunds.
