Hey all,
Need some matierals and rather than jumping out to HIP 36601 as I'd planned (long way) I thought I'd top up on the most needed stuff a bit closer, as I have before. I found a planet, not been there before, and did the usual surface scan, got 100% with two probes (87% with one...almost there!). However, I'm not getting the "Heat map" (I know it's not really a heat map) overlay giving me an indication of where might be a good place to land. Additionally, while it says "Geological(2)" under Notable Signals, these do not show up either. It's like I've not scanned the planet at all. Any ideas?
Edit: Hmm, something is very wrong. I've revisited planets I've scanned in the past and they're showing as not scanned. I send probes again, get 100% (two probes) and, once again, the planet is not getting the "heat map" overlay. Does any game setting influence whether this is shown or not? Can't really do any practical surface prospecting without it. I'm in Odyssey btw...sorry, should have lead with that.
