I think the term "entitled" in this context has taken on a different meaning. We're entitled to many things.
It's really referring to "self entitled" or "an inflated sense of entitlement".
Anyone can fairly expect certain things in life, we're entitled to those expectations; paying for a game means we are entitled for it to work and in many cases we're entitled to a refund if the product just doesn't live up to certain expectations. It's when individuals begin to believe their expectations go beyond that of anyone else (their problem is the important one, "sure, you've fixed that but what about my problem? Why isn't that fixed?") or they feel they're entitled to a world where someone else never has to concede or change anything. Like a developer sometimes has to delay. It's to be expected that may disappoint some, they're entitled to feel that way. It's when it goes beyond that into the realms of anger or hatred or whipping up the speculation frenzy without any facts.
For example, death threats aimed at CDPR. That's an extreme case. But self entitlement extends all the way down to simply expecting fdev to admit to something you've got no evidence they actually did.
I'd say the sense of self entitlement is pretty strong with that particular line of thinking. And that's implied heavily in this video. Elevating oneself to the position of suggesting it's OK for fdev to admit the covid reason isn't the truth. That CDPR lied, so it's OK if fdev did too. Almost coaxing them to admit what must be the hidden truth. That it's understandable for Odyssey to be delayed because of consoles. Come on, fdev, you don't need to be coy. We'll be OK if you're just honest!
That's self entitlement. And it's made worse because it fuels others to think their mad theories are true. Because he's in a position where he influences others.
