@Bullethead. This might be just one of those little easter eggs in the game which indicate to these kind of additions. Anybody found any others?
Well, all we can be certain of is that the devs know both that there were ride photos in RCT, that PC players want ride photos, and that the lack thereof in PC is cause for customer regret. Whether or not this means we'll see them in PC someday is anybody's guess, although I suspect the odds are perhaps slightly in favor of this feature showing up at some point.
On the surface, adding this feature doesn't seem too difficult, just building on stuff that's already in the game. The biggest obstacle would be the disk I/O required to save the pics for players to see, which might cause stutter at some point, and might also run players out of HD space unless there were limits on the number of pics saved and the size of the pic files. Say you have cameras on 6 coasters/track rides and new vehicles pass each camera every 30 seconds, and each pic is full screen resolution so say 4-6MB each. That's about 60MB/minute or 3.6GB/hour if every pic was saved. And most of this would be pointless because at 12 pics saved every minute of gameplay, nobody is going to look at each and every one of them. The vast majority would just be deleted without a glance.
