On the fleet carrier models in store

Did you just compare Battlefront 2's Pay2Win with Elite's optional cosmetics? :ROFLMAO:

Meanwhile, looks like Elite is playable on phones now!

EA fixed their cosmetics, too. But again, what else would I expect from a jannie?

Fleet Carrier Paint Jobs - TEXT ERRORS

All the numbered paint jobs and a few others, description text :
- currently says - "TAYLOR YOUR SHIP TO THE TASK AT HAND WITH THIS COLOUR OPTION "
- clearly should be - "TAILOR YOUR SHIP TO THE TASK AT HAND WITH THIS COLOUR OPTION "

All the Pirate Colour options - description is in German :
- even though I am in the UK and all other items are displayed in English

So instead of making actual fleet carrier classes that was talked about earlier, all we get is one carrier, but instead you made them into microtransactions ? How is nobody complaining about this ?
Every single costumization of the carrier is locked behind f2p model microtransactions ?

Mediocre quality is becoming the de facto standard. Easier to make slightly different low poly clipping stuff and poor textures and sell them.

I don't especially like microtransactions but I have found that I've obtained paint jobs just by logging in (via Frontier events such as the ones around xmas time) and just playing the game, it's enough that I've got enough paint jobs to feel my ship looks different to the stock colours without spending any real world cash

You can pick up ED for what? £10 in the Steam sale with Horizons and that's everything unless you really want a vanity item immediatly. Not the most consumer unfriendly business model or maybe I'm wrong? I would be suprised if Frontier made enough money through those sales alone to fund development.

I have so far not heard of any court cases or instances of people spending loans on paint jobs in ED, I have however heard of people spending student loans and admiting adictive tendancies to buying certain in game items in a certain other "it's fine it's just an Alpha" title.

How is nobody complaining about this ?

Perhaps because some of us pretty much expected it and no amount of complaining will change it.

I'd rather spend my efforts on banging on about offline costs for carriers, because at least with that there is a chance of it being changed.

At the end of the day, you can get them for free if you wait to earn the ARX, although i did blanche at the cost of the detailing. Close to 5000 for engines... but strangely, paintjobs costs around half that. Bizarre pricing.

Get what?

That since beta 1, 3 months ago it was clear that there would be one type of carrier with different purchasable skins and layouts?

Nobody said you were evil. You asked why no one complained about it, and you got two answers;
1) Plenty of people are happy to support the game with micro-transations, and
2) It was already discussed a couple of months ago here anyway.
I have been visiting forums from time to time in past half of a year and i thought frontier went from multiple FC models to single to speed up delayed delivery, then they announced FC ladout customisation.

And cant recall where frontier said that ahole FC models will be purchasable. Without models everything is allright - we have 1 FC but we get update earlier. Fair enough.
And now it looks like they have already bunch of models ready. Wouldnt it be better to just have possibility to sell them like regular ships? Nautilus would have better fuel efficency, victory would have more pads etc etc.

"Plenty of people want to support game" - If people would want to support they would buy stuff anyway. Changing paintjobs every week or something.
How about having possibility to buy anaconda only and others with arx only? Plenty of people want to support game after all.

I guess most people will buy one engine colour, but might get several PJs / shipkits - so they price to get those repeat orders. After all, they can push out a new PJ every week - but they'll soon run out of colours :)
