Dear Professor Elizabeth Perez:
I am writing to you as a member of the pilot’s community, an avid researcher affiliated with Canonn Research, and a human being. I wanted to start by expressing my appreciation for your work with the Golconda, and other efforts. I know that not every decision made by Orion was the most popular. Considering recent events I hope we can find common ground.
As you are likely aware the Proteus Wave has misfired and caused a catastrophic loss of life. This may have culminated with this, but Wycherly’s efforts may have had a larger impact on the existing guardian infrastructure then we know. We have been getting reports over the past few months of changes and new activity regarding the Guardian Obelisks.
There is a signal which had previously been identified, but decryption was a low priority at the time. Now, due to changes in the signal as well as the rest of human space, we are determined to crack the code. I have included a declassified report on the signal and its characteristics.
I am requesting that you release any information you may have on the location of the scriveners, the travel patterns of the clans or how to locate them. In addition, we would like any information you have gleaned regarding the Guardians or Thargoids from your interactions with them. – We are all human so if it comes to light a year from now that ‘someone’ found the scriveners and took the core by force, it would be even worse if that information was not shared now. I understand that you may have some frustration with this request, as much of the access to this information may have been lost when the scriveners escaped. I am asking you to look past that as a research and help us find a path forward. – At least if you can help us locate them perhaps, we can find something to trade that may be of interest. Perhaps a stockpile of Unclassified Relics?
