True, and I wouldnt mind at all if FD would improve the UI of private groups in general so Mobius has better tools to police themselves. But thats a different discussion, or at least in theory.

That's the only way.
Leaders of private groups will have to do the "house keeping" themselves. Nobody can prevent players from joining private groups with the sole intend to break that groups rules.
It can only ever be a reaction to those rule infringements, never a preemptive action.
The only responsibility i could place on FD here, just as you said, is to make sure that group leaders have the tools to do that job as efficient and hassle free as possible.

......in my life, from so many people using me daily as a punching bag both at school & at home, that I just don't want to be involved in so much as even "friendly competition" with other players. I've even stopped playing WoT altogether because I just can't stand being in any kind of confrontation with someone else now. I want my games to be a totally friendly affair, and if playing in solo is what I have to do to get that, then I will play in solo.

FWIW I specifically didn't mention the omission in the reply as I was expecting the person in question to "carry on down that path". You jumped in instead though. =p

I don't get why are people moaning about FD about this -apart from some peoples innate love of drama and need to blamestorm.

Two things were broken - Mobius' rule about 'not shooting at each other' and Wheatons Law.

FD aren't responsible for the first one - they cannot be expected to enforce the rules of a player group, and sadly no one can be responsible for policing the second one.

I have made no demands, I haven't even made any requests. No one has infiltrated "My Group" There are two people in "My Group" and both myself and the other member had no need to infiltrate it, since I created it, the invited the other member.

So, whoever you are directing this filth to, please be more considerate who you quote.

They've only done it to stir things up, the whole point is to get people salty. <for reasons>

But you know if you sit back, what have they acheived? Nowt.

And if you check your private groups for these folk and kick them they'll be worse off.

As far as wanting them punished, I couldn't care less, the damage is already done. In short, what I want, is a PvE group or mode that is really PvE (ie: Friendly Fire Off) with ramming turned off if possible.

As for calling your post filth, telling me to pull my head out of my nether region (best I could do with the filters on) meets that definition for me.

Prepare to be surprised: some people are just peaceful, and do not look for revenge whatsoever. They're just looking for peace. Complete lack of confrontation. It does not mean they are weak, just that they are peaceful beings. Some even claim that the world would be a far better place with more of those beings on it.

Except that 20,000 is 2% of the number of copies sold. They already have their money, and 2% is probably within a statistical average for video games.

multiply by the number of seasons still to come, which that 2% may not buy into then it gets serious I think. The changes Sandro has mentioned are a great first step.

I cant imagine being without elite, I shall play in all modes regardless, but I would like to feel that Frontier will do everything possible to prevent truly anti social behaviour. In a few years from now I would prefer to be playing in a galaxy with 5 million players and the future of the game secure, than a slowly dwindling player base
