Yes I think you are probably right
Have a read back through the thread, assemble a list of objections. Some will be (in your view) good points, some will be petty. See if you can modify the plan to reduce the number of objections, and take another crack at it. As OP you can request your own threads be closed if you think the conversation is no longer productive, it's what I did with mine. The information is still there for FDev to read if they choose though, unlike this one which has been moved out of the suggestions sub-section into somewhere FDev are less likely to read.
They can add objectives in Arena.
Don't they have some sort of Capture the Flag mode already?
They could add a King of the Hill objective, they could use the maps for racing circuits, there is all sorts that could be done.
It's not an exploit if it is being used for it's intended purpose, and the way it is being used is in fact its intended purpose. That's why your thread got moved.

He knows, he knows. He is a solo underminer indirect griefer that is avoiding any direct confrontation by purpose under the wing of a broken unbalanced mode system. He is not the only one, go to PP forum there is a whole group of solo underminers called EG Grom supporters (or something similar).
Those people like the current mode system because it lets them grief others from safety. But they are the first to jump into someone killing other players in the game as "ruining their game and thats why open is empty " (its only empty of solo underminers).

The only way to balance open properly is to shunt PvP out of it (to Arena or to another mode/BGS - which we were told wont happen).
Arena can be improved for PvP with all sorts of options. Leaving Open to be improved for PvE.

If players seeking an Open-only area didn't migrate to play in a New Bubble, I'd be a little surprised - it would seem to tick many of the boxes.
If, however, the desire to make the game Open-only is also aimed at adversely affecting those who don't share a preference for the optional play-style that is direct PvP then I'd have little sympathy.

You know full well I play in Open and have been waiting for your super combat ship to show me how Godly you are.
But without easy mode friends list exploiting to find targets, you're clueless how to track someone in game.

It's a separate proposal for probably different players I agree, but this is why it's important that an idea has input from those that would actually want to use it rather than just complaining that others ideas are bad. You are in a better position to gain that positive feedback & acceptance. I said I would help you (despite my objection in the third post in this thread)

Nah I like the open space and variety of ships and loadouts, being stuck in 4 × 4 km imaginary box is too arcady. It doesnt fit with the main game, its just bad.
Big part of PVP is chasing/escaping, low waking, FSD snipes, flying evasively, going stealth, surpirse attacks with torpedoes while silent running, outnumbered and unbalanced fights, you dont have this in CQC.
You have all of this available to you in open right now.

"Hidden" agendas. Which is why the fallacy of the perceived imbalance of the BGS from the modes exists.
People use this particular fallacy as a means to get rid of PG's/Solo and provide more fish for the Open barrel, plain and simple.

Can someone provide a list of suggestions/proposals abriviated withthout insults etc.in this thread? I have gotten lost.
So far what I have:
BGS/PP open only nothing else will do.
bonus for open mode
bonus for pvp encounters
special locatrion for open only area,
remove pve
remobe pvp
reduce/increase rebuy screen
Warning about pvp at mode selection
I am sure i have missed a lot.
Not trying to belittle or puff anything up here just want to see a list as maybe a point for disccussion.
So far what I have:
