Open-Only in PP2.0?

Indeed - and menu exit is not combat logging, according to Frontier's definition, and Sandro noted at the time that not all players would agree when he made that statement.

Whatever the correct term for "...when a player attack me, I'll log out and switch instance/game mod" is, that's what I meant by "combat log". :) (I thought that's how it's called).

There's a clear distinction, at least for Frontier, between leaving the game using the menu exit and killing the process / connection. The former is permitted at any time, the latter is not.

That some players want to enforce their out-of-game rule set on other players is a common occurrence - it does not change the actual rules of the game though.

This 100%. There is the Fdev TOS. That is it. Abide by this and everything is gravy. Ignore the salty, arbitrary nonsense from 'player groups' Too many ossified player groups in this game who seem to want to dictate to others how they should play.
With the caveat that should the TOS change, possibly with OOPP, then engage with that content or not. Make a choice, and if you do interact with said system then abide by the TOS.

Ive switched from Solo to completely playing in Mobius, anyone wanting an Open PVE should do the same.
I should have done it a long time ago, now i can meet folks, have a laugh without any issues.

I don't have that button in my game. Or I don't know where it is. And the CODEX in the game doesn't say anything about this group.

In fact, I know how it works, but I don't like the idea of having to bow at someone's feet and beg to be accepted there. It's not my choice, it's someone else's.

Not convinced there's any overlap between CG campers and players who might be interested in PP.
This has resulted in participating in open becoming the exception, or use of blocklists in CGs which ultimately leads to campers sitting around with only each other for company wondering what the CG is about anyway and proclaiming that they killed the game lol!
I don't see players who can't be bothered to find out what a CG is for, will contribute anything to a power.

When PowerPlay 1.0 first debuted, unaffiliated players were a larger threat to haulers than hostile power players in my experience. By the time I’d switched to the BGS side of things, those unaffiliated players had all vanished, leaving only the rare hostile player as a hypothetical threat.

You don't have to bow to anyone's feet ? Its a private group( if you join anyone's PG it's the same thing their rules) whose Main one is no PVP ( in the Mobius Private group) you agree and hey presto you are in the group.
Break the rule and you are out. You get to meet a lot of people from all over the world and hang out. Codex doesn't say much about player groups in general. Mobius has been a thing for a long ole time . You don't have to do anything for Mobius to be in the group apart from be nice ... If you want to PvP you go into Open.

Lucky ones had just to bow at their feet and beg.
Not so lucky? For starters, you had to bow and kiss their feet, then send private photog... never mind.

I bypassed it, all the owners of Cobra IV are automatically in.

I guess I'm not polite enough, since I don't seem to be doing anything but I don't realize if I'm in a group or not :)

P.S. By the way I wonder if this group exists as long as there is its creator or what ?

Mate its not the Masons, you fill in a form, agree not to be a muppet and they send you an invite after a short while.
The rest is how you behave in the game, heck me and another commander sat at opposite sides of the SD mail slot for a few minutes being to polite to push past each other! :ROFLMAO:

I can't tell YOU what YOU are not familiar with because I can't know about it.
But I think YOU should explain about LOR to those people who performed the CG as part of the game. Maybe some of them were on the other side and continued to drive medicine :)

And yes I think it is necessary to make a suggestion in the description of the CG to write at the bottom in big letters : (just an example) This is the CG for the Empire and if YOU are a side of the Federation then pass by ;)

As for the Elite LOR I played Elite1, Frontier and FFE, you are in the game as an independent mercenary ! And it's normal to fly into the Conflict Zone and choose the side that will win at the moment, not a specific one. Easier to win, easier to get money. The fate of the mercenary !

P.S. The Pilot Federation is an independent organization, today you have a mission to kill Imperials, tomorrow you have a mission to kill Federates and it's normal to the spirit of the Elite.
What are you talking about?

I think there must be a logical explanation for everything.
And when they asked me for my mailing address, I wondered why they needed it.
If they wanted to protect themselves from spam, there is a captcha for that.
My login is linked to my mail on the FD site and I don't understand why they need my mail.
Yes, I can make a fictitious mail address, but I will not get an answer to the question of why they need it.
That's why I couldn't fill out the form.

"Your email address, for confirmation receipt. Must match original email address for your game account so we can search for your in case the pilot name fails. (This is only used as a method to deliver a registration confirmation mail, it is not collected for any marketing purposes or sold off to any services or systems for any other purpose)"

CMDR Name, email address, why is that a problem?

Let's say for instance say you are a bad actor, wanting to join Mobius to cause havoc (has happened many times in the past so they have reason to be cautious), they ban your CMDR name, you clear save, change CMDR name, join again, cause havoc again, rinse and repeat. But your email address is linked to FDEV account and can't be changed without buying a new account, so they can only know it's the same person with a new CMDR name by the email address.
