Open play trolls

I thought it was going to be a photo of jasonbarron hiding in the bushes.

SURPRISE!

Yes, you do have to fly in Open and practice constantly to have those skills. The players who are truly good at PvP have fought thousands upon thousands of small to large scale engagements, and that count goes up on a daily basis. I'm glad that you're impressed with this player who smited you...though I have you pegged as being a netflix on the opposite screen whilst the turrets do all the talkin' kind of gal, too, so that's not really impressing me.

It's not like I'm unwilling to change my opinion, though; send forth your champion to San Tu and let him prove his mettle!
Let's put it another way... they have enough of certain idiots that think themselves have skills... the person I am referring to has nothing to prove to me, and does not have to prove anything to anyone else... My overriding point is that it is the attitudes and behaviours your opinion above is representative of is exactly why some of us are sick of the modern crowd of PvPers... it is not all of them, just a very vocal minority - enough to put some of us completely off PvP in general.

Well, to be perfectly honest: that's about what I thought. "We have no need to prove our superior apex predatory skillz because you guys are idiots!"

It's funny that "Knowledgeable and practiced at PvP in a skillful, demonstrable manner" decodes in your personal lexicon to "attitudes and behaviours your opinion above is representative of is exactly why some of us are sick of the modern crowd of PvPers" :)

AFAIK, none of the HOTAS big names, make them for us southpaws. Even most gaming mice are geared toward righties. We do deserve SOME perks. You'd be surprised at what I had to go through just to convert a right handed joystick over to lefty.

T-1600m is left handed if you want it to be.

There's even a switch on the bottom to switch between LH and RH modes. :)

You missed the point - the apparent attitude indicated by both this and your previous post is representative of that the PvP-kiddies exhibit - sorry, but that is the way it comes across and it has little or nothing to do with "relative skill levels" of myself or anyone else, the point I was making was it is attitudes like that (amongst other things) that has made some of the more experienced PvPers sick of PvP.

You may find a 3DConnexion SpacePilot suitable, it is not cheap (~100 UKP) but it offers 2 buttons and 6 Analogue axis (Symmetrical design so good for both LH and RH users). I gather some people have been able to get it to work in ED but I have not had much luck myself on that score (yet!). Assuming you can get it to work you may find it very effective in the long run... but it is a bit of a knack to get used to (used them at work for browsing 3D environments).

I probably should have called you out back when you started throwing the word "idiots" and a few other choice pejoratives around, but since you've also gotten around to using "PvP kiddies" as well I think I'll step in now and fill you in on one of the finer (yet widely accepted) points of forum discourse: when you start calling people whom you don't agree with names in order to make your argument...you've lost.

I agree with that. Should we go back through the thread & pick them all out? Or only the ones from posters that disagree with you?

I haven't called anybody any names to make my point, River. Certainly not the person whom I'm talking to. While, on the other hand, I've been referred to as an "idiot" and a "PvP kiddy" among other things.
