Hi,
Okay, this might sound like whining... but these Odyssey support missions, where you get a power regulator and need to power on the settlement seem to be way too hard. These were fun in the beginning of Odyssey, I got lvl 3 suits and plasma weapons, and could do these missions with fun amount of challenge. The whole mission pays like 120K, and 60K for eliminating scavs. so it should not be that hard, paper ships yield that amount in bounty vouchers.
Then I missed a year, and came back to this, my face is being teabagged by those scavs who arrive on paper ships yet have like full lvl5 gear on foot. I arrive to the site, land on the pad and as soon as i get my feet out of the ship, got raided by like 10 scavs armed to the teeth, throwing grenades and killing me in 20 seconds, and i wake up on one of those pen ships, need to pay 100K... for what? Because scavengers attacked me and killed 3-4 of them? I even got bounty from their bodies... If they are already there, they should have been scattered all around the place, most of them inside. Or they should arrive later so I can a least seek cover.
Why is this so hard? Who can kill 10 of these when all attack at once and cannot even get off the ship? Okay I am not an FPS guru but this game is supposed to be fun and not scaled for those guys who play CS 24/7. I enjoyed playing the on foot conflicts there the attention of the foe is shared, but this is nonsense they all attack me and I do not have any NPC help.
Okay whenever I hit a wall in a game, I obviously think about that I am not doing it the way it is supposed to be done. (This often happens with Odyssey, where even the first engineer unlock needs 10 of opinion polls, where I spent hours seeking in hotels and spas but found nothing else than guards bullets in my bottom, whenever they caught me sneaking into rooms) But what is supposed to be done in a settlement power up mission? (or in any onfoot where the thugs cannot be hit using the SRV) The layout of the settlement has been done in a way that the SRV is not overpowered as it stucks everywhere... I cannot get NPC help. Need human helpers for ever mission? These are not group missions. Maybe I need to use the ships weapons? But those used to be not affecting on foot targets, yet would be fun to see those scavs eating my class 4 bullets size of a beer can. Or maybe I need to land far away and sneak in, trying to kill them one by one? (which is not possible without the suppressor).
I have the feeling that these NPC opponents are way overpowered. Feels like you go into a medium sec resource site with a medium engineered FDL or Python and instantly 10 elite anaconda jumps in to beat you. I think this is supposed to be fun... so some challenge but not like a wall.
