Paid for rebuy & lost every upgrade

Hi all,

very new to the game.
I’ve had a ship which blew up & was short on money to buy it back so it give me a loan.

However my ship has lost every single upgrade. Like 10mill worth.

how comes it gave me the ship but with no weapons??? I’m absolutely stuck with no way to make the money

No way of knowing without seeing a pic of your rebuy screen at the actual time.

Your only option here is to raise a support ticket and speak very nicely to them. They might be able to get your modules back or at the very least tell you exactly what happened.

Having a look about on the site & can’t seem to find how to submit a ticket =( any pointers?

Ive had the loan before. It takes like 10% from all the money you make until it paid back.

OP: Are you sure the loan didnt just cover the cost of the hull, and not the modules?

Well, the ED insurance corp has access to your credit profile.
They do not shell out money for the gooodness of their heart, they expect it back. :)

As far as I know, the credit is only offered if your
  • rebuy is below 5 millions
  • you don't have the money on hand to shell out for the insurance.
Assets, e.g other ships you own, don't count.

I lost my Python once (thrice, to be specific) to Thargs and didn't watch the rebuy limit the third time I exploded.
So I elected to pay a percentage for about 2 weeks instead of taking on these tulips the fourth time in a sidewinder (my other ship was a keelback. I wanted the Python back)

That sucks mate, you have learnt your first lesson (most get to learn it in the same way) Don't fly without a rebuy!

Welcome to the game and the forums. Hope this doesn't put you off continuing to play because it is a fun (if sometimes frustrating) game.

This has completely passed me by. Having said that, I’ve flown without rebuy but I don’t think I’ve ever lost a ship in that state.

This is the answer. I fell prey to this, but it was not my first death (I was, however just back from the pub - does anyone remember those days?). My fully engineered Asp came back with only core modules. So I'm afraid... that was on you. Yes, the rebuy screen can seem confusing at first, but you'll get used to it. Whatever you lost after only five days... easy to replace, don't sweat the little things.

You know exactly what happened, they panicked, rushed through the process and deselected the already selected checkbox that rebuys all the modules too.

As with every thread like this one (apart from the obvious rebuy quip) the OP needed to slow down and take in what they were actually doing before committing to the rebuy.
