Note the offset cockpit (white rectangle).
Cockpit retracts into main body on approach, view flips to external cameras.

Is there? I thought the width of T10 was pretty much all an L pad could bear. What I gather from screenies that is, I never had one.

The Beluga is actually wider than the T10, 131.6m vs 118.4m. The Beluga is also significantly longer, with 209.1m length vs the T10's 135.1m.

If we assume the Beluga's length/width and the T10's height are the maximum the landing pad can take, then we actually end up with an overall volume 72% larger than a T10. If we make the design even boxier (and use the height currently used for the rear spoiler for actual internals), it's not unreasonable to have a ship with more than 2x the volume of a T10.

Sounds great.
Needs to be ridiculously hard to fly. (y)

Am ashamed to say the Beluga and Dolphin are the only ships I don't fly. Always thought the Beluga was quite thin, like the Cutter. The Beluga is a Monster, I find the bridge weird in VR, like sitting in a concert hall, never really felt right.

The beluga maxes out the whole pad, you cant fit anything bigger on it.
