I have this idea for a special kind of new shield generator specially tailored for exploration. This shield generator will be able to withstand high energy particle bombardment in energetic ejection cones from neutron stars and white dwarfs. It will also reduce the little bit of heat from outside sources while active.
The general idea is, when you drop out of supercruise that you will be able to withstand particle bombardments for a few minutes without any problems. The duration of this highly depends on shield strength, size and your position in the ejection cone. It goes without saying that the shields will not hold up well in combat situations. There primarily designed for exploration purposes, they will slightly reduce heat absorption while fuel scooping from the star. But it’s mainly designed for hazardous situations while exploring that can be caused by neutron stars or white dwarfs or in the future perhaps spatial anomalies.
It goes without saying that the shields will have a broken regenerate rate quite severe and completely the opposite of B-Wave shield generators. The engineering principles behind it are the particles are flowing alongside the entire shield grid over the ship, instead of colliding. Another thing that this shield generator does depolarize the ships haul in order to repel micro asteroids and other particles of matter.
The specifics are up to frontier to figure out if they like this idea at all? Things like weight, power usage, heat generation, shield strength, etc.

• Being able to survive in normal space while being bombarded by an energetic particle stream caused by neutron stars and white dwarfs energetic ejection cones.
• While the shield is active. All outside heat sources will be reduced by around 20%
o This means you are able to survive for short time without having to worry about module malfunctions. While in an energetic energy stream, your ship will retain certain “amount” of control while the shield is active, because the energetic particle stream is not directly impacting your ships hull.
• FSD supercharging, is around 20% to 50% faster. “This depends position where you scooping from the energetic particle stream”• While the shield is active. All outside heat sources will be reduced by around 20%
Balance features:
• Since this shield generator is primarily meant for exploration purposes and will not function well in combat situations any and all projectile weapons will pass to the shield like it’s not even there.
• The shields will have incredibly high broken regeneration rate, around 125%
o This will mean any kind of solid object that hits your ship will pass through the shields.
o On the upside particle-based weapons will hit the shield first, in this case it will function as a normal shield within the D class category (“With thermal assistance of around +20%”).
• The shield generator produces more thermal load, because of particles that radiate outwards.o On the upside particle-based weapons will hit the shield first, in this case it will function as a normal shield within the D class category (“With thermal assistance of around +20%”).
• The shields will have incredibly high broken regeneration rate, around 125%
