Passenger Missions - Tourist Beacons Bugged

I have been taking tourist missions and I go to the beacon, or the point of interest in question and I wait, and I wait and I wait. I scan the beacon and I see other tourist ships there and I look directly at the sun and...nothing

1st mission - tourist selected the sun as the point of interest, I go to it and a tourist beacon comes up, i go to it and scan it and....nothing
2nd mission - Ice geysers, I go to the planet and land right next to the ice gyser and I wait...anddddd nothing. I waited there for half an hour

What am I doing wrong?
 
I've done hundreds of those mission's without any issues except for the one time when somehow FDev messed with the module priorities. All of my scanner's had been shut off. Might want to check your's.
 
Are you actually targeting the white beacon?


That never happens. try and find example videos on youtube, you're doing it wrong.
I had the white beacon targeted as was labelled tourist beacon or smth. It just doesnt update to tell me to go to the next region, do i wait for a message or just go anyway once its scanned the beacon
 
As with nav beacons, the location marker of the beacon is not the actual beacon itself. You need to target (and scan) the beacon separately.

Once scanned, a message should appear in your message HUD from the client telling you where they want to go next.
 
Just to verify, you are dropping into the tourist beacon instance, and then targeting the beacon and scanning it? If that's correct, then the mission should update at that point. If it does not, it could be bugged. But I've never had a bugged one, myself.
