Patch 3.3.2. Any news?

The majority of the game seems to be working the majority of the time, yes there are bugs in the things you list and there are occasional crashes (I had three crashes in one day last week).

A disaster is where almost nothing works for anyone.

Ok I admit my play style that doesn't have much involvement in missions and no deliberate involvement in the politico/economic side of the game might give me a happier experience than those playing more niche activities.

So there's "disaster", which is where no-one can actually play at all in any meaningful way.

Then there's "naffocalypse", which is where nearly every game mechanic is fudged and unreliable to the extent that playing is just a chore.

BGS is meaningless, CZs make Virgin Trains look reliable, FPS is noticeably worse than it was, screen freezes while physics merrily carries on regardless, disconnects, invisible wingmates, multicrew HUD bugs that require a soft restart, several mission types are reliably broken and uncompletable...

Why would any long-term player put up with it? But that doesn't matter to the bottom line, does it.

But don't worry, a fan will be along in a minute to tell you that because they personally haven't noticed any of this nonsense, it can't be all that bad.

The patch has been less than the normal standard, its true, but Devs also clean stuff like this up pretty quickly?

Overall the game is better, more fun, all the tin says - my beef is the server-side issues since the new provider came on board, freezing, juddering, that kind of thing. Never got that before, but I think its the server bandwidth provider, not Devs.

My input.

This.... My experience of playing the game since this is bad enough to stop me playing. I don't know, others don't seem to notice or complain so maybe it something to do with where I live but whatever it is constant freezes utterly kill immersiveness for me.. :(

I think this is the major issue. More players aren't involved in political\economic affairs and have little issues about the bugs. Exploration and mining are not bad and have little problems.Sorry for my bad English.

How can you describe bugged wings, bugged wars, bugs in BGS, bugs in trading and mining, continuos crashes? Is it everything ok for you? I respect your opinion, but don't be blind about the issues.

Not every bug requires a numbered patch to fix, which helps.

The frequent (comms-related?) freeze-ups seem to have basically gone away for me since the New Year (I've had one this month, compared with multiple each day in December). There may be more to be done, of course.

At least a couple of BGS bugs related to stuck states have been fixed, and hopefully more to come there. BGS bugs very rarely need a patch to fix - which is good because we get the fixes quicker, and bad because we often don't get told that a fix has been made in any patch notes.

Which bugs you see will depend heavily on what you're doing, so it can be both fine and unusable for different players. I've reported several bugs since 3.3 but none of them seriously affect me and there's only one that's particularly inconvenient ... I don't think I've had a single game crash in 3.3 [1], for example. That doesn't help you, of course, and hopefully they can get your bugs fixed sooner.

[1] I had lots in 3.2 but in retrospect these were probably because my HD was on the way out rather than anything Frontier could have done anything about.

no offense but you are playing elite the same way you play a free to play mobile game... No surprise you're not facing any bug :) Take a look in a more deeper involvement in game mechanic and you'll see how deep the rabbit-hole goes... If works.

None taken.

However I consider that I am playing Elite Dangerous in pretty much the same way I played Elite back in 1985, actually I probably did more missions then but back in my twenties I was less annoyed about being told what to do than I am now.

Can agrea 100 people working at it, communication is as intended. We are aware of it and looking into it, soon early next year we will do something. No Issues detected.

At the lunchtime Stream, Ed and Will said that the devs are working on a new patch, but didn't give any concrete details when ti would be released.

Yeah, lunch stream made me think 'not this week'. If a release is in the air they usually say they have something to announce later, but this seemed more vague.

Must say that since I upgraded to the new launcher and latest nvidia drivers last week I haven't had any lockups like before. So it could have been one of them (or maybe they fixed a server?)

Edit: Twitch clip of Ed, far tidier :) https://clips.twitch.tv/PerfectShinyMangetoutFutureMan

If someone has friends in the area where they have their headquarters we could organize a throw of smelly vials with written above: "Since you do not take care of us leaving us with a rotten game, we return in part"

The worst part is some people take that sort of thing seriously.
