PC Gamer review confirms what we feared

It is not a negative review. It certainly isnt. But is a critical one, pointing out Planet Zoos flaws. And rightly so I think

People don't know what nuance is anymore. Anything below an 80 to most people is straight trash, which is absurd. Look at the commenters above moaning how "incompetent" reviewers are. That kind of blatant, ignorant, comment tells me all I need to know about them.

Reviews should stop giving scores in general. Make pepole read again.

The Sandbox mode was designed for the more creative players who wants to design pretty zoo's. The management side seems 100% better than Planet Coaster as that's a huge improvement it my book so it seems like they have got the balance right for once, I would like a slower in-game speed as a personal preference as I am both a creator and management player, as I don't like using pre-builds whatsoever, I am more than happy to do my major building/customisation while paused.

Yup, agree entirely. Funny enough these people say that "Everything is subjective" and " it´s only your personal opinion" and then you see them trashing some sites because they apparently disagree with how they review their favourite games... And on the top of that, these people also often say to not judge something, because we have no proof and everything is just speculation (for instance I can refer to "no Planet Zoo reviews" thread), yet same people claim those who do review don´t even bother to play the games (for that, they don´t need a proof apparently). :/

PC Gamer's opinion does not reflect my own. Nor does any other "game review site".

I always watch "Let's play's" of games to find out if I find something interesting. But never read written articles only. Because that is solely based upon someone's personal experience and then trying to reflect that into words, while I'd rather have a visual reference.

Pc World states: "For all its problems—and there are many—Planet Zoo is one of the most satisfying builders I’ve ever played. Maybe not on the management side, which is still a thin and easily manipulated veneer. "

I for myself would also stick to an 8/10. Beautiful and brilliant builder, mediocre and frantic management game.

How long have you been playing already? Also, anyone can elaborate on performace? I´m really curious if it gets so slow when the zoo is bigger, just like it happens in PC...

I haven't read all the posts, sorry for that. As for reviews, I do tend to read them. I don't judge anything by just one review. Whet I usually will do is to read numerous, try a demo if available, and then form my own opinion. If it is a game I am interested in, like Planet Zoo, then I use the reviews to see if there any little gems that I may have missed - sometimes there are. But I know that not everyone will share my opinions, so I never count on any review being able to gauge what I may or may not like.

I guess they want shallow simple to play games, they last 5 mins, people need and like deep detailed games to use brains.

Tut, pc gamer

I have been playing for a couple dozen hours. It does get laggy after the fourth or fifth sizeable enclosure.
