I recently bought the Google Daydream View and of course I had to try Elite on it with RiftCat VRidge. After some awesome immersive flying I noticed that I can't read all the text - basically anything from the panels. So I did my research and learned about the shortcomings of pentile displays and some tips to improve readability. Turning off anti-aliasing and pumping up supersampling made a huge difference, but not as much as changing to a green text color scheme. However all schemes I found had some problems, like some text was still red (to keep enemies red on radar) or the radar didn't distinguish hostiles, neutrals or allies at all. I tweaked the values until extreme reds and blues were eliminated while keeping the green text on most of HUD. Also the radar still has distinguishable colors: hostiles = orange, neutrals = green, allies = cyan.
And of course I thought I'd share this scheme with my fellow commanders.
TL/DR: Try this color scheme if you have trouble reading text (especially with mobile phone headsets).
