The quote is wrong. Read that whole thread then submit it to FD support and you'll get the same answer I did and that's FD are aware of the forum and will take action in the future against these hacks.
We're not allowed to post any links regarding hacks on the official forum. People have posted videos and screenshots of players with 1000% shields but they are removed. You won't get any @proof@ here but go to the reddit it's widely posted about there.

You're asking for proof that we have but don't have the right to provide. Just do a quick google search about elite dangerous and hacks and you'll find your proof.

Ed is P2P. The client is susceptible to hacks. Things that can be hacked include massively increased shield strength, infinite ammo, maximum hyperspace range if 200ly, instant refueling out in space, etc, etc.
Posting more information than that will earn me a ban. It matters not if you believe me, but you won't get a single moderator on here telling you that I'm telling lies.

Look I' am not saying your wrong or right but I' am saying the general "google & hacks" consensus calls on ship stat modifying hacks. That plus the fact that Client based MMo if nigh on impossible to mess about with. If you have proof then please PM me with a link. You don't have to post on the forum but I would really like to know if this is true. And so far I see nothing but bluster and dailymailism. PM links to me !

at this point why would anyone create a thread about hacking on the forum? You can't provide evidence of anything without damning yourself. And the developers aren't going to comment on what they're doing about it.
Everyone knows it exists, the simple scripts and cheats (most from gamma release or earlier) work and it's being actively used all over the place. You even have nice little bounty boards that provide pretty hard evidence of the use of such hacks (the bounty system is notorious for allowing credit laundering to their non-hack using accounts or friends). The only thing rule abiding players can do is not care about those players and avoid them if you ever come across them for now.

I've seen it. I've also seen another thread on this forum more similar to this one; the OP had even posted links as proof, but later edited them out. You could tell that he was correct based on the chain of responses prior to the edit. I can't find the threads, not even going to look, most likely deleted.
Thanks for the links but they are the ones I read in the first place. Those cheats are just code exploits and have nothing to do with the hard stats of the ships. I quote myself

There is no hard stat cheats for increasing the speed, fire power as allegedly seen in the op video. The shield exploit is a bit shatty but only thing that I think is really bad and "a poor show FD" is that they have the maximum jump distance on the client as I would describe that as a hard ship stat and totally agree about BUT The max ammo, auto aim etc is just a standard aimbot. It does NOT increase your damage output or DPM it just automates (badly) the functionality already there. They are also generally crap if you look at a player accuracy stats that use them and are generally subscription only so more fool the idiot who pays to use them. Any good player could out fly and outgun an aimbot. They are only good for AFK farming credits etc. In an ideal world no game modifying should be available client side even exploits. But Speed modifiers still no proof sorry, and that forum has nothing about them or any other hard stats that really matter. It would be really nice thought to hear from a DEV or MOD ? Official FD line ?

Yeah Frontier need to be a lot more proactive about this because ultimately if they don't sort this out, and exploiting isn't seen to be actioned, then we'll end up with everyone feeling the need to cheat. And if thats the case the games future wont look great.
That too is a shame for this game and makes you want to stay in solo.
Most of us telling you the hacks exist have been in this game for a long time and have also been on the forums and read the threads where the people doing the hacking were openly discussing what they are doing as well as how. No, I am not going to link because you can't find it yourself. I have no idea if the forum in question is even public anymore, nor can I remember its name.. not of particular interest to me to save it up so I can relink to somebody who wants to repeatedly say 'pics or .... '. It really doesn't actually matter if you refuse to accept what long term players are saying. I'm sure that Frontier would much rather you and other refused to believe it goes on, so don't expect them to chime in any time soon.

Well if you wanna see it I will post video tomorrow, FDL catching eagle with no problems, and as well FDL mass caused my FSD to be interrupted by mass factor all the time lol.
