Perseus Reach Expedition [February - June 3306]

I was also looking at the Viper MkIV, that thing can actually get some pretty good jump range and has a 16T fuel tank which is pretty good for a small ship but i'm still taking the Vulture on this one. Maybe the Viper for DW3 :sneaky:

Pretty good sign-up numbers so far!

I'm really trying to keep myself occupied so I don't take off on my own exploration trip and miss the start of this one. I have the itch to get back out there (at least I think that's what that itch is...). Anyways, I actually purchased a second commander so I'm going to see if I can get that account up to par to take it out in this expedition then I can leave my main account in the bubble doing... well, bubble stuff. Since nothing is too expensive for small ships I basically just have to focus on engineers and the FSD booster which is simple enough.

I'm sorely tempted to bring my SWE3 Courier out of retirement; it looks like I can just bang a GFB in to get the range, but if I am willing to drop my spare fuel tank I could fuel rat as well and still keep my 851 m/s boost, though that would be challenging with just 4t in my own tank.

This expedition is creeping up pretty quick! I was just checking out the numbers on EDSM, 300+ participants is pretty darn good!

I did what I said I didn't want to do and took my Vulture out for pretty decent journey. Now I have to decide if I continue using the Vulture for this expedition or switch it up to something else. I love exploring in the Vulture but I also don't like spending too much time in any single ship. I'm considering taking a Sidewinder so I can check it off my bucket list; I made a build that would have the minimum jump range required to complete this one. The only catch is I have to forego the SRV hanger. I have around 100 max FSD injections though so I shouldn't have to worry about gather materials while I'm out there... ohhh the decisions. I also have to make it back to the bubble for the start next month!

Cheers! We are the biggest small ships expedition now, got way more than I expected!
Hoping we'll find some cool stuff. Remember to join the discord if you want to socialise with the others :)

Agreed on including the type 6. Definitely fits the spirit and concept of this expedition.
Oh I have a problem now. I have my Courier all polished ready in the garage, but maybe I have time to head back from my current short trip and build a Type 6 - it was my first real exploration ship all those 3.5 M Ly ago ... :)

I'm a very newish player. However if it would be alright I would honestly love to join y'all on this journey. I think it would be a lot of fun. I have a Hauler that's close to the jump range requirements. With a little work I can get it there.

I am also an Xbox One players as well. Not sure if that makes a difference or not

That's totally alright, in fact a lot of newer players have joined this it seems (a lot more than I expected). We alos have some XBOX players.

I did it. I made it back and finished the engineering on my sidewinder. The numbers I had in Coriolis were a bit off from what I was able to get in game; and this is with maxed G5 engineering on everything. Something I have never fully understood is why the current jump range is lower than the minimum jump range... is that the reserve tank that is not being taken into account or something else? anyways, This is the build in Coriolis followed by a screenshot from the game.

Barely made it over the jump range for this expedition... I could drop the chaff for a little extra range but then how will I celebrate when I make it to the end?

Scooping every 2nd jump !!!!

Can't wait for the departure of the Perseus Reach expedition. Haven't been "out there" since DW2. Bringing fuel and repairs.
