Planet Coaster 2 | Announcement Trailer

Looks awesome! I do wonder if I'm gonna need a top-of-the-line machine to try to play it though. I have decent specs and already run in to stuttering and other issues playing Planet Zoo on medium settings. Will be interesting to see how well this runs.

What I hope for:
-more darkride types
-switch tracks/transfer tables (drop tracks are confirmed)
-a lot of scenery versitility with the new sets
-a more realistic park guest spawner
-better optimization, but no build limit on pc

Assuming by 'PC' you mean personal computer and not Planet Coaster, I've not encountered a build limit on PC, just performance degradation for known/expected reasons. The Oswald-Eugene counter only applies to console.

I know, that's why I hope the simultaneous launch and cross platform sharing of planet coaster 2 don't mean we PC players get that limit as well.

Both the PC and Console versions are bound to have their own respective features, Console likely having the Oswald-Eugene counter due to limited power, unless Frontier somehow found a workaround.

It's a bit like how the interface differs between each platform (PC having keybinds, PlayStation and Xbox having it's different buttons/bumpers/triggers etc.)

I hope they reveal more what rides we are going to get. I hope there are car rides and train rides, too and I hope the sky rides (seats and cabins on a cable) return. And at least two carousels. We are actually starting over and we won't get everything right away but we will have to wait for expansion packs to see what else we get.

This is great news. PC2 looks like it will be just as good as PC with more features. I hope they add the flat rides from PC into PC 2 and add new flat rides in PC2 as well. Now I can add a water park to go along with my amusement park. Can't wait to see more from PC2.

I hope we get all or most of the flat and tracked rides from PC1 as well as new ones and down the road even more in expansion packs. And more ride cars. Maybe variants of the antique cars with a roof. Also, a tool which will smooth the ground under tracked rides for slopes. I wish we would get working railroad crossings with signals and gates. But, I'll settle for no collision with paths like before and we can make our own signs. And more maps, such as a flat one with no hills and a beach one with an ocean on one side. And maybe a larger park size if possible. Working arcades. Working midway games. It sounds like we are not getting spooky/horror theming right away, but I hope there is an expansion pack. One thing I would really want is the ability to make working haunt mazes like you see at some parks in the fall. As well as walk-through haunted houses in general.

A few questions:
  1. Will the map size be bigger? The map size in Planet Coaster 1 is 898 meters x 748 meters.
  2. Can we build higher roller coasters? The height limit in PC 1 is 625 meters.
  3. Will there be support for ray tracing or path tracing? This would make the game a lot prettier on high spec PCs.

When I think about how frustrated I was with Planet Coaster when i stopped playing, there isn't enough information to get me hyped. Decorating rides is nice, yes. Some features we already have at parkitect are nice to have too, but how does the water park affect what was "fixed" in the game and what we get.

Are there finally midway games? Is the coaster builder free again to do what we want like it was in Alpha way back? Do we have double stations now? I don't see any kiddie rides in the trailer or screenshots. Are family rides made kiddie again? Is there a spooky theme? Etc. etc. etc.
