Planet Coaster 2 | Community Questions

Also a few things I didn't mention in my previous post, there are a few log flume videos going around and the camera clips through the front part of the log flume, and sometimes on rides a cam can clip through a guests body part, occasional facial features :p

The airpowered "F&F" S&S coaster, using the front bumper, the cam is very shakey? unsure if that's on purpose because of intensity but it's very... very shakey

Can we please have the option to take curbs off of queues? ALSO can water coasters have the option for boats to be lined up in the water before the station (like the log flumes) and PC players really should have the freedom of a larger map as we did in the first game.

Might be a dumb question - but is Custom Scenery going to be a thing in PC2? Will I be able to import custom scenery models into the game from Blender?
To answer your question: no, it is currently not possible to import own created scenery stuff. The Thememaker Toolkit of PC1 is not compatible with PC2.

I'm glad this game looks amazing, but I'm very disappointed that you guys decide to not release it on Xbox One. You know that many gamers can't afford the new consoles, since there too expensive. So please Frontier devs, make PlanetCo2 compatible for Xbox One, just one last time. If you do, every Xbox One gamer will be happy.

Hayo Park Managers!

As we head towards launch, we've seen a few more frequently asked questions that we would like to respond to!

Does the guest cap also apply to PC, what affects it and why is it there? If it is on PC as well will it be removed from PC in a future update?

We have set a guest cap of 6000 guests to create the best experience in terms of performance for our players at launch. We will be continuing to analyse and evaluate player hardware feedback regarding this topic post-launch.

Are custom music/sounds/billboards in the game? Will they be added?

Planet Coaster 2 is all about creativity, and we are always considering new ways to bring your theme parks to life. We will be introducing these features in a future update.

Will load/unload stations be added?

Coasters and rides are at the heart of Planet Coaster 2. We will be introducing load/unload stations in a future update.

Will rides with built-in decor have 'vanilla' versions too?

Yes. Creativity is at the core of Planet Coaster 2, and the ability to attach scenery to rides is something which we’re very proud of, allowing Park Managers to create unique rides. We are always considering new ways to expand this creativity, and will continue to introduce further creative options, including additional neutral coaster cars in future updates.

Will Planet Coaster 2 be playable on Steam Deck?

Please fix the missing global illumination setting for GeForce Now Users…

I remember in Planco 1, I use to sit and watch the wheels on the pirate ship, thinking it was a cool detail of them bouncing each time the ship swings back and forth, then just looked on Planet Coaster 2 to find this weird blue texture with the wheels clipping through it? Is it meant to be water or? please remove it.

Hello, I'm Ruben from Belgium! I have a question: Is it possible to have a new attraction like a Vekoma Madhouse in Planet Caoster 2? There is such an attraction at Bellewaerde and it's called The House of Houdini and at the Efteling and it's called Villa Volta. I would love to have that attraction in Planet Coaster 2! Below are a few pictures of the attraction and the 3D version of the ride.

greetings Ruben from Belgium

can the UI be changed for the Windows version of the game please, its not very good.

even going back to the planet coaster 1 UI, and slapping any new buttons and sliders on to it, would be better then what we have now in my opinion.

and yes, as someone else mentioned, less confirmation of actions, such as
when wanting to select multiple items.
or when i want to change the colors of something.

the UI and some actions needing a confirmation completely destroy the flow of building for me. also way to many clicking trough little tabs.
im sure its nice with the bumpers or triggers on a controller, or with the D-Pad, but its not nice with mouse and keyboard.

I'm seconding this. The game feels like It's missing a lot. The UI is frustrating, the controls are clunky, the power and staff management systems are more annoying than challenging in any meaningfully good way. I feel like the base game of PC1 had more content than this does. It's a sims 4 at launch/cities skylines 2 situation all over again where absolutely baffling changes were made that no one asked for. I don't mean to sound so harsh but this game is extremely underwhelming.
Frontier team gonna acknowledge/ talk about the state of the game and the terrible experience a lot of us are having (beyond what was written out in the hotfix notes)?
Cos I really do think it requires an apology. This game is unfinished.

Some more notes:

• Queues & Prices: Playing through the first scenario outside of the tutorial, guests will pay $8 for a helter skelter, but a good realistic coaster that cost $4 is apparently expensive.

• Staff zones: I want to set an area for staff to look after, but you haven't taught me anything about zones and there is sick everywhere

Career really isn't enjoyable :/ I'm trying to do the retail ravers quest, and you don't make it clear on how to do it at all. Come on frontier.

Some options for coasters from the first game are missing.

-The Outamax Momentum coaster and the Murphy Star Loop have no lapping options. So I can only have it pass the station twice. I wish the options can come back so I can have the coaster rock back and forth throught the station 4+ times like the real life Impulse and Skyloop coasters.

-The Anton Looping Sun had it’s Shuttle options removed. No backwards lift nor dual direction launch. I would like to see these come back. Also, can we have a forward launch (with lapping options) to make classic Shuttle Loops like the former Montezuma’s Revenge?

Thanks, I am enjoying the game so far!

how about you make the guest cap optional because overtime the game can be laggy by not just the number of guests in the park but how many assets there are in the park

To answer your question: no, it is currently not possible to import own created scenery stuff. The Thememaker Toolkit of PC1 is not compatible with PC2.
That is really disappointing. In PlanCo1, many of my creations relied on TMTK, which offered endless possibilities for designing rides and parks. I truly hope they bring that feature back to the game in the future for PC players, as its absence would be a major letdown.

Dear Frontier, is there a reason why all those wonderful vending machines, which were part of planet coaster one and planet zoo are not part of planet coaster 2? Where is Street fox cafe? Where are the donuts? Where is the candy vending machine? Why do we not have an atm in the game? What's about the planet zoo restaurants? Why are the service building are not detailed like in planet zoo, but only empty buildings, or not walkable?

Am I wrong or is it impossible to add scenery items to transport rides? The more I play the more I'm missing the lovely things from planet coaster one and planet zoo. Also for me at the moment the user interface is not balanced. There are many things which are awkward to handle. Also some animatronics are not within the animatronic menu.

I'm a fan of frontier and the creativity which is part of the the planet games although not everything was perfect in the games (for example the climbing behaviour of animals or the behavior of the guests who are able to walk through walls) but at the moment many things within in the game are a bit confused. Sorry for my honesty. So, I hope for updates which will bring planet coaster 2 to the high quality which I'm used to from frontier developments and which has made me to a frontier games fan since many years.

After over 3,000 hours in PlanCo 1, I finally had the chance to dip my toes into PlanCo 2 this weekend. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. While many wishes of the community have been heard and implemented (and some more will come), they somehow have been implemented in the worst way possible.
Was this game ever playtested by someone who had experience with PC1? PC1 had a great UI, was simple and easy to use, and it was fairly fast to get good results. In PlanCo 2, most was changed to be more complicated, to require more clicks, shortcuts have been removed (why can't I hit Space anymore to activate/deactivate angle snap?), and the coaster builder makes coasters so smooth, that simple elements like a realistic vertical loop are not possible anymore. What took an hour in PC1 now takes 5, and even coasters take much longer to build now.

The only conclusion I have, is that the game was either programmed by saboteurs who wanted it to fail, or that no one who played part 1 has ever tested it at all.

I broke my own rule of never preordering a game for this one, trusting that Frontier would deliver a better game than PlanCo 1, just to find out that it is as difficult as RCT World. Sorry, but as of now, the game feels like an untested pre-alpha. Is there any chance to get a refund?

Not to deny anyone the pre- order bonus but i hope it does remain exclusive for at least a period for us that actually went out and bought "the hog in the bag" unseen and thus ending up with this somewhat disappointing first release already out of pocket, i think something like with PZ:C , exclusive a few months and then about 5usd mark would still make us that went out feel rewarded

Something that i feel missing is the ability to play sandbox with the scenarios , this is possible after unlooking them in PZ and it brings so much joy, they are so well made many of them and i have already saved several blueprints from them, but it would be such an extra taking them further with the freedom given in sandbox

Apart from this it sounds very promising that frontier is fixing the issues and adding the missing glaspieces etc, just hope this communication can continue on, transparency is the right path! I only wished they had been more transparent of the missing and unpolisht features before, but atleast they did not put gags on the pre-access reviewers so on had an idea what it was going to be like. But i wished Frontier could have been even more brave, came out and said that "hey it is not perfctly where we want it to be and that we know the community wants and expects, but we will patch it under the time after release but decided it should still be released so you can enjoy it already as we belive there is a good foundation" like a type early access, with that transparency i could have given a positive instead of now i had to say negative on Steams question if i can recommend the game now,
