IMPORTANT: Planet Coaster Summer Update 1.3

This incredible looking game will be better looking as usual. The ambiance is really awesome. The devs do amazing job to really have the feeling to be in a real park.

But personally, unfortunately (because the game has so much potential), I was still hoping for more major gameplay changes (competition, better career mode, more management options about staffs, stocks, etc.). All the additions really add to the general ambiance, but it will not change the management and gameplay part... again. Sorry but this game could be more interesting... For the moment, I don't really care about new additions, because I would like better gameplay. That's just my personal taste.

From the building side and creativity, the work is awesome!

Could Blackout be more like a Huss Ranger (RCT3 has it) or like a pirate ship type ride that can go upside down like Berserker at Kings Dominion? The other is probably a Chance Revolution where the seats face inward. RCT3 has a Revolution, the similar ride currently in PC is a Frisbee, the seats face outward and are on a ring. I was hoping for a larger boat flume like RCT3, and some classic rides like Round Up, Rotor, Musik Express, Thunder Bobs, and Gravitron, maybe someday we'll get those. I mean we already got the Zipper and Loop ride from RCT3, and the Zo-zo, which was also in RCT3, called Roll o plane, so it would make sense for them to add other classic flats from RCT3, as well as new ones. Double Ferris wheel would be nice, too. And non mechanical ride attractions like mini golf, slides, mirror maze, 3D cinema, etc. like RCT3.

Thank you for you never ending updates, freebies and fixes! When it does come time for paid DLC, I will be first in line to buy whatever you supply! Thanks Frontier and all your wonderful, talented staff!
 
I spot a KMG Afterburner =p and i think a maybe glass windows I so hope we finally have glass, Im most intrigued with the Ride Sequencer, I really hope this allows us to sequence say fountains with the Topspin etc, Or sound effects etc. It surely cant be to do with the coasters as we already have that

P.S. Thanks to the Summer Update, I will finally be able to construct Raging Wolf Bobs (Wooden coaster with white supports) and replace the placeholders I have below with what they are supposed to be! [big grin]

Of course, any possible increase in performance (somehow, someway) will be greatly appreciated!

HINT HINT - I kind of figured there was an Intamin Impulse coaster (Power Up (compact coaster)) coming since I noticed "proper" vertical inline twist elements were added during a previous update!

I definitely agree with this, the management side of the game is something that needs to have some work put in to. Hopefully it's coming cos it still very much a "design" game rather than a well-balanced builder.
 
Neezy what park is that? Is that a recreation? What is that ride that looks like an Intamin 1st gen freefall? You made it? You can use the coaster with vertical lift and drop to fake it. You also have a fake observation tower, in the summer update we are getting a real one. I saw RCTW has one, I was wondering when PC would get theirs. RCT3 also has some observation towers both built in and custom made. And you made an impulse coaster with the inverted boomerang. Yes, that works, but track type is wrong and it doesn't allow multiple laps. Looks like we might be getting a real impulse in the summer update. My local park, Dorney Park has one called Possessed and now the correct coaster type will be in PC. Somebody made a Dorney Park on the workshop and I am improving it and making changes to reflect new additions like bumper cars, troika, and building some of the haunt buildings that they use for walkthroughs in the fall. But they built the park in such a way that the border of the buildable area (white dashed line) is right by Talon, so I can never have Wildwater Kingdom in the park. Unless there is ever a way to expand the land that the park owns on existing parks in the future.

Will the guests stop what they're doing (walking) to watch it like in the video? It looks really well.

I did hope we got some news about optimization and mod support though, but it isn't the 27th yet so I keep my hopes up high.

Geauga Lake! I've been working on this since last summer when the larger park sizes were released. It's not completed, but will be releasing it to public later this year when I'm finished. Several rides (Giant Boomerang, Mr. Hyde's. and Skyscraper are placeholders only). Skyscraper placeholder was built during the winter time.

Hey, Possessed was our Intamin Impulse Coaster - Superman Ultimate Escape/Steel Venom, 2000-2006! LOL They (Cedar Fair) moved it to Dorney Park and later announced Geauga Lake was closing [sad]

1st Gen freefall was made by me (not uploaded to steam just yet). It operates by using the torque coaster to propel the train up the shaft lol. [big grin]

Once again, thanks to Frontier for continuing to release these updates. See me and Rob K are dedicated [haha]!


Thanks to Frontier bringing this Summer Update, I can finally place a real skyscraper and Superman/Steel Venom recreation!

Been waiting for fireworks since the game launched! And now it's here! [woah] It's time to garner up hundreds of hours into Planet Coaster!!!!! Thanks Frontier! [yesnod]

P.S. I hope new Creative forums will be born... Like those back in RCT3 where you could find AMAZING creations! (Cmon, those people sometimes spend a whole year or more to build up one dazzling Pyromusical) [woah]

As usual I am with you on this. I just don't play PC anymore and have moved on because of this issue. I am only really here just to see what the update brings and if it was going to surprise to what was expected but it seems not really. Ah well.
 
Missing ride signs again?

A really great update with many good new possibilities. But what I hope is, that the new rides have there own ridesigns and again I hope that the missing rides sign I am still waiting since last year and which had be promissed for one of the updates now will be part of the update. Are they part of ?
