General / Off-Topic Planet Safari- next up.

At one side it sounds like a really cool new francise but I'd also love it as an expensive pack + something to do with water also. I can still remember the days of RCT3 [heart]

I am still waiting for the expansions/DLC:
-Planet Planet: Plan it (a sort of like what the NAM is for SimCity4)
-Planet Planet: Plant it (flora&fauna expansion)
-Planet Planet: Planets (more planets to colonize obviously)
"Planet Planet: Plan it" [haha][haha][haha]

I'm sure it's already planned.

I saw jacksepticeye play planetcoaster and it instantly made me think back to both zoo tycoon and rollercoaster tycoon. If you guys really are going to do a zoo version that would be awesome.. i used to be more with zoo tycoon but sadly windows 10 doesnt allow me to play zoo tycoon anymore as its just to old.... I dont really mind where it ends up (either as a DLC or as a stand alone) you have put a lot of effort into planet tycoon and id love to see a zoo version come out. All i really want in a zoo game is to have not just "the main zoo animals" but all wild to exotic to domestic and many more including of course the funny ones like dinosaurs or mythical creatures. also would be cool if it kept with the idea of animals being able to escape the cages and run rampant that was my faveortie part.

Heck to the yes. I still play Zoo Tycoon 2 and I'd love a proper spiritual successor. I even written down a bunch of my ideas for what a new game would be like.

Sorry for the bump but I had some other things to say. I think this could be a great game. But when it comes to Fronteir and animals, I'm still a bit wary. Zoo Tycoon for the XBox One was pretty cookie cutter and while the animal models are certainly impressive, I'm not a fan

Let me explain myself

The elephants and the rhinos looked amazing but many animals such as the giraffes, big cats, chimps looked WAY too human, especially with how the eyes were made. Made them feel more like toys than living animals.

You realize that graphics coding for consoles is different than for Personal Computers as consoles usually don't have the power that computers have.

I didn't mean power wise (look at what Aurora Designs can do), I meant how the models themselves looked, mostly the faces.

It would prevent higher resolution graphics but he means the models themselves looked strange, on the design side. If they were put into a PC game they'd look just as strange is what he's saying

Tbh I would have to personally disagree with that opinion as I think the models are lovely. Nicely detailed, especially the monkey models. The tigers and lions certainly look to be based on real images when they modelled them as well.

We have seen how things have improved and if they started with a PC game and then ported to console then we could see some amazing things happen to a Planet Safari/Planet Zoo game I feel.

I couldn't comment on the models myself, I haven't seen them. I'd love a new Zoo Tycoon type PC game though, especially if Frontier make it as I would know for sure that it's in safe hands!

Does this mean Planet Safari will be a stand alone game instead of an expansion to Planet Coaster?
That would make me sad, I would not play a "zoo/animal" only game. I want to build a safari WITH coasters!

Now what if Planet Safari is its own complete game. All of the necessary features to make a beautiful zoo are in. From living animals, to animals from the ice age and dinosaurs and perhaps more. While Planet Coaster is also its own complete game. Which means that one game wouldn't have to depend on the other, but getting both games would make for the ultimate experience. I kinda don't know if it makes sense, but you get the idea.

So you're saying they're both standalone games but if both are owned they can be used in conjunction with eachother? I've had that exact thought before, it's only a dream but it would be fantastic wouldn't it![yesnod]

If Planet Safari is going to be their next title I can't wait!

It would be cool if it was an expansion of Planet Coaster, or a standalone game :D

Part of me is excited to see them make a stand alone, full fledged safari/zoo game. They could do so much more than it just being an expansion pack. But the other side of me thinks about Sea World, Animal Kingdom, SF Discovery and all of the other mixed parks that would be really fun create in the Planet Coaster universe.

it would be cool if they could connect it to planet coaster and when you have both games it will identify each other so you can make combined parks. like a modular system.
